Convenient
I like that it is easy to access. Wish it held more pepper spray or had a replacement canister option.

Exceeded my expectations
I purchased this because a group of friends and I are going out of town on a girls trip. Most bars/clubs wont let you carry self defense items with you so I wanted something small that I could keep on me that will blend with my out fits (it looks like a fit bit). The bands aren't your standard rubbery feeling, they are comfortable and "soft". It came preloaded so that was nice because with my luck id set it off trying to set it up. Beyond excited to have this piece of mind with me when we leave next week. I will leave another review on how it handles being worn for a few days straight and how it holds up. (Hopefully I wont have to use it)

we left the room with the thought that it might not be good to stay for more hints of pepper
We tested the spray mechanism in my living room. One short burst in the away direction, the first hint of pepper in the nose, and 10 seconds later, we left the room with the thought that it might not be good to stay for more hints of pepper. Both my son and I spent the next 15 minutes coughing and choking. Neither of us had any effect to the eyes. Over the next week, I wore the bracelet and had to retrieve it at least twice a day because the closure would unsnap if my wrist went against a seatbelt or had a similar contact. I sent the vendor a note and within a few days, I received a replacement and a message explaining the improvements that had been made. The replacements haven't been unsnapping at the slightest provocation. So, I know the pepper works on the nasals and it stays on the arm. Next improvement could be to make it decorative so it would be inconspicuous instead of rubber like what is that on her arm.

Nondescript, easy to wear
I purchased this after I was attacked by a man while out running. I was looking for something that I didn't have to carry in my hands but would still be easily accessible/usable. Thankfully, I haven't had to deploy the spray yet, but I've been very pleased with my purchase. The bracelet is comfortable and easy to wear, without impeding use of my hands. My favorite thing about it is that it is nondescript - no one recognizes it for what it is, making it a lot less likely that an attacker would either; most people think it's some sort of fitness tracker. I don't even get questioned about it at security checkpoints (although I haven't gone through airport security with it on -- they would probably notice it).The first bracelet I purchased had snaps to secure it to the wrist. It fit my wrist well, but the snaps limited the size adjustment capability so that might have been a problem for others. And one of the snaps fell out after about 9 months and I couldn't find a replacement in the correct size; I ended up removing all the snaps and supergluing on a strip of extra-strength velcro. The velcro has worked, but it isn't ideal.I just purchased a second bracelet after seeing that the snap strap has now been replace with a more standard watch-style strap. I think this will be a good upgrade! I'll be using the newer one as my primary, and keeping the other one that I McGyvered as a backup in my car.

I don't like it.
I'm giving it 4 stars because it looks like what I ordered, but a caveat to people thinking of buying this. It's not first, second, or even third line of defense, it's your last line of defense before your open hand fighting skills. There is no way to know if it works until you need it, and you would have to be so close to your threat in order to effectively deploy it. You have to wear it on your non dominant hand which is normally where I wear my watch. So you have to basically choose between this and your watch/fitbit.What I suspect is that I will wear it for awhile, then I won't and it will end up in a pile of junk somewhere. I would not purchase this again.

Whelp! Guess what? The second, brand new device only gave one burst.. the rest is a mystery..
Two or three day ago, i wrote a 5 star review stating i felt safer knowing it was wearing this weapon. It's so weird that this morning proved me wrong. I did use it about 6 months or so before? And yes, it worked. I sprayed a very aggressive predator, rolled up my driver's window and took off.I couldn't say enough to other ladies in person, and on forums about how this little device was a must-have. It was even advertised on the news, as i recall.Fast forward, i'm in another gym parking lot at 7:30 AM, and was accosted by some gym rat whom i knew i could not easily fight off. He, like the others were offended that i wasn't giving him the attention he (and several others), felt they deserved. This is a very "Machismo" Culture/Location. Going to the cops is like walking into a Klan meeting and telling on one of their members, if you're a woman? It's a joke. The police here are just as bad if not worse than the perpetrators themselves.Long story short, he followed me right out to the parking lot talking crap. Not one person at the front desk did anything. They watched him march behind me while hurling invectives, like it was the norm. And here? Yes, it probably is.When i made it out to the car, I finally turned to him and calmly spoke while raising my wrist to activate the Little Viper. I pressed both tabs hard, thinking i would have the same results from the last encounter.And?Pffffffft.. That was it.. just this little puff of mist that was immediately blown to the left by the wind, and maybe a few drops dribbled off.. The guy just stood there thinking i was probably checking my watch (yes, that's how calm i was).. Apparently, he didn't even know what the heck the thing was, let alone what just happened.. He was no more than a foot away from me. That let's you know the distance of the spray.Needless to say, i stood there looking down at the so-called Viper with this look of disbelief on my face.. Thank gawd i remembered i kept an old cannister of Sabre tear gas hooked on my back pack. I unsnagged that from the straps, sprayed it like a crazed skunk and took off. The Sabre was also old, and certainly didn't spray the impressive 12 feet as it claimed? But it did a heck of a lot more than the Little Viper..When i made it home, my husband tried to be serious/compassionate when i told him about my mishap.. But it didn't take long, for him to basically start laughing about this faux pas.We both took the Little Viper outdoors and tested it again? This time it just let out air. That was it. That sobered him up pretty quick just looking at what the Little Viper DIDN'T do, and what might have happened, if i didn't have a back up.I thought it might have had something to do with the small hole (dispenser) that might have been clogged? My husband took a toothpick, cleaned it out, and maneuvered it back to the center. He rinsed the area out, and tried it again.. Nothing.. just air, some bubbles and left over water dribbled out..This Little Viper is supposed to have at least 6 good sprays. Not one, which is why we pay over $20.00 for peace of mind. I'm very disappointed, as well kind of pissed off that i invested money in TWO yes, ladies TWO of these darn things.**UPDATE**I went out immediately after writing that review.. I only had one good burst from the OTHER viper that i bought. Yes, friends and neighbors.. One.. My husband wasn't happy about this at all. I fired it off the second time. And i only had dribble.. After that i only had air. This was not 6 months after shooting off the Viper. This was immediately after the first shot.I never would have updated my experience? But Ulrich jumped on the comment section and says i should have thrown out the first one after using it only one time. Okay.. That i can live with. But this second, brand new Viper i tried out? Only gave one burst. Not 3 or 6. Only one.. I think it best if the company allows the customer to state their experience, and leave it alone, versus stating: "You're the one to blame, if you didn't follow instructions." Yes, I did with that second Viper, and No, you product was again proven defective.thank you, and goodnight.
