First the bad points. 1. It’s not waterproof, in fact it’s not even saw dust proof, I had it in my pocket at work (carpenter) and saw dust got inside resulting in specs all over the screen and a terrible view of vids/pics. 2. the glass effects the white/colour quality. 3. It’s heavy and doubles the thickness of phone. 4. Reduces WiFi/4g signal. 5. Most worrying is that the glass broke dangerously, actually smashed leaving sharp edges and bits of glass in my pocket, it’s lucky I didn’t cut my fingers. I ended up opening the case up and removing the glass completely.On the plus side, it does prevent your phone from bending/flexing in your pocket which can cause minor cracks in the internal circuitry/damage to the components( It happened to my last phone, rendering it useless, which is why I opted to buy this case and, for now, why I’ll continue to use it). Also, apart from the glass, the case does absorb most of the impact force that occurs from dropping your phone.

This case is quality. I'd looked at the standard back ones with a seperate screen cover and thought that for the sake of a few extra pounds I should go for this. I'm glad I did.The phone looks and feels like a tank now. The edges are rubber with a decent amount of drop resistance. The front surround is a harder plastic and raises the screen away from the surface if the phone is put upside down. The screen protector itself feels great and works perfectly. The back of the case is a combination of metal and softer rubber - I expect the soft rubber parts are to prevent slippage and the overall metal frame (covering the length and width of the phone) provides resistance against bending.The phone has a very decent weight to it now that it has this case on.I am not sure this is a female/small hands friendly phone case now though - the phone is wide to begin with and this adds a good few centimeters around. It feels much heavier to hold in your hands.The side buttons and the charging port work perfectly.The bottom of the case does make it a little more difficult to use the fingerprint sensor button but it does not seem to prevent it from being used effectively.The product comes in retail packaging and is ready to buy and wrap 'as is' if giving a gift.Inside the box are two allen keys, three spare screws, an alcohol cleaning wipe (to clean your screen down before assembly) and a dry microfibre cloth and a little marketing material on the product.The whole case fastens together by six screws and it comes preassembled, so you take the six screws out to begin.It is not a waterproof case so disregard this.I'm not sure this product deserves the few negative reviews it has received, I think those saying it has broken and is therefore a waste of money are missing the point - it saved your phone so it has worked perfectly!

The case is very well built and of a good grade of material, not going to break my phone any time soon.However the touch can be intermittent at times.It took a few attempts to get it on and the drivers they provide for the screw's and the screw's themselves wear down Very quickly so try get it on propperly first time.Originally I was very happy with the case however It is not dust proof and neither is it water resistant I have to take the case off once a week to clear dust from both front and back camera lenses (not what you want to be doing if you spent lots on a phone for its camera)Sound quality is also rather distorted.Unfortunately I have now resorted to the factory provide case and a good screen protector because the case Is more of a pain than help in the environment I am in.

For protection it would get full marks however... This case is really heavy, the protection meant it could no longer fit into my little bum bag Or clubbing bags , the button at the side did not always work for screen shots and the quickly access my camera, it sometimes meant my phone would not swipe when paying on the underground easily... And the most important point, everyone said I always sounded muffled... I had to talk with my hands free plugged in for anyone to hear me clearly, and hands free was put of the question... So of you don't mind this and protection is your most important point, then this is ideal for you!I got fed up with this on the end and went back to a less protective case where people could hear me...

Yes, it's big. Yes it's heavy (about 3-4 times as much as just you're normal phone on its own). Yes, it takes a lot of getting used to if you're used to super lightweight phones. But this case is better than phone insurance. Why pay £10 a month for phone insurance when you can pay £30 just to make sure that your phone doesn't break? This phones actually gotten me into the bad habit of NOT trying to catch my phone when I drop it. That came back to bite me in the backside when it slipped out of my hands above my laptop! Yes my laptop broke but the phone was fine! I've dropped these cases from eye height, and even gotten in fights (I'm a doorman so I piss off a lot of drunks, it's not like I'm some violent ex-con) without so much a passing thought for my phone. And never even a scratch! In fact, my last phone managed to still have the original screen protector that came with the phone! Only once have I broken one if these cases and strangely, that was when I was just typing on it (not even hard either). I just threw some very clear sellotape on it and carried on using it just fine for another 2 months until I upgraded phones anyway, then bought a new case of the same type! I'll also say for the record that I've had this brand of case for about 6 years now, so this review covers SEVERAL different versions for several different phones.I will say this phone case certainly does it's job but may be a bit much for the average users. A must have for anyone with a job thats very physical or goes from 0 to 100 in a split second, such as police, military, or security. Might be a bit excessive for a lawyer though.....
