Great cotton yarn for many uses
I crochet around an intermediate level. I don’t have a lot of money so I try to look for deals and I found this yarn to make Christmas gifts like placemats and dishcloths. It’s a beautiful dark teal color. The size and weight are exactly as described. If you’ve ever bought Caron yarn you’ll know the quality is consistently good. I used this specific yarn for placements and I only got one placement from each skein, which is what I expected. This would be great as Embroidery thread. It’s a touch softer and sleeker than standard cotton yarn. When I can, I will definitely get more colors of this yarn to keep on hand because I really like how it feels and works up, plus the colors are great

I LOVE this yarn!
I ordered several packages of this yarn, half expecting the dye lots not to match, but they miraculously did.The yarn is wonderfully soft and delightful to work with. It has incredible stitch definition, if that is what you are looking for. It frogs easily, if you are like me and have to pull out row after row when you find a mistake. I had a very hard time finding the center pull and ended up with a lot of 'yarn guts' on about half the skeins. This yarn is 100% cotton but is lighter and has MUCH more drape than other cotton yarns. This is because of its chainette structure. This type of yarn, unlike many (most) cottons, is quite resistant to splitting. If you get splitting, try changing your hook or needles because it is almost certainly not the yarn. (Look at the yarn carefully and you'll see why.) I used Bates hooks/needles with not a single split and my sweater is already half finished. The price is great, too, although I did get mine in Deal Days. This works up like much more expensive yarn. It is mercerized, with lovely, discreet sheen. The color on this is a beautiful, soft blue that is almost periwinkle, but not quite. Just a hint of violet to the blue. I am working on an unstructured cardi and love the drape of this yarn and love the way the ribbed borders have a crisp look to them. When I finish, I'll come back here and add a photo.

I love this nice smooth cotton yarn
This cotton is mercerized so it is nice and smooth on your fingers. The drape of finished products is very nice so it is pretty with garments as well as housewares. The yarn size does feel like a true 4 weight. It is cotton so it does get a bit splitty when using, making it better for knitting than crochet. The cotton is very sturdy and so it does not have much bounce meaning it can be hard on your hands so you will want to be kind to yourself when working on it.Overall, it works really well for the projects I have done, the stitch definition is really nice, so I will continue to use and use again.

Nice cotton yarn but similar to a cord
Generally, I like this yarn. It is cotton and we did put it in the washer and dryer without issue. It acts more like a cord than a yarn in my opinion. When you crochet with it, the gaps are very distinct between stitches because the cord is so tight. If you look at the picture, you can really see each crochet stitch. If you use a softer or acrylic yarn, the stitches sort of blend more. It’s also a heavier and denser weight so although I bought it with the intention of making a cardigan, I don’t think it will work well. Instead, I used it to add trim to a tank top and then will use this granny square and make a bag. I don’t think it’s the right yarn for clothing. All in all, though, I don’t mind the yarn for specific projects. The colors are nice and true to the pictures. The only splitting that happens is when I am trying to thread the yarn into a needle. I didn’t have any issue with splitting when crocheting. Also, it is pretty easy to frog, again, without slitting.

BEAUTIFUL!!!
I LOVE this yarn! It feels silky and the shade of green is beautiful. It has an antique feel when you look at it. I checked it against a variety of colors and it would blend with most colors. It’s especially pretty with a dark purple, like an eggplant type purple. It looks really good in a room with antique prints and furniture. I already ordered a second set so I can have it available. I used one skein to make custom sized dishcloths and I was able to make ten measuring approximately 3 1/2” by 4 1/2” from that one skein. There was just a tiny amount of yarn left over. I used a size H or 8 hook, which is the 5mm size, and did just a simple single crochet pattern. The tiny cloths are perfect for small hands or people with hand pain and they’re gorgeous in this color. The mercerized cotton should be washed and dried carefully. Washing instructions are included on the wrapper. Being able to make your own customized dishcloths makes this yarn an incredible value. I’m thinking about how many beautiful things I could make with it, like a summer blanket or a custom tote bag. I haven’t been able to crochet for decades due to a chronic illness which attacks my tendons and soft tissues, but I recently found a treatment which makes my pain more tolerable. I dug out my old crochet hooks and patterns from the 1970s and 1980s and began enjoying this yarn within a day after it arrived. I’m planning to enjoy it for years to come.

Soft, thick, and a pleasure to work with.
This cotton yarn is superior. It’s my favorite. It has a beautiful thickness and softness to it even before blocking. I’d highly recommend buying it for projects you want to last for a lifetime. There’s a reason why it’s always out of stock, lol
