I ordered these to help keep my relatives lips/tongue hydrated as they struggle with swallowing. These sponges have been working well - they just need to be soaked in water for 10 minutes or so first to get to their full size as they come vacuum packed.

Was hoping these would be longer but, they’ll do.

These are small swabs ideal for wetting lips of someone who is nil by mouth.However, I have used them as sponge paintbrushes for small wood work projects to apply stain more accurately - and they work brilliantly for this!

These swab sticks are everything I was expecting. However, now I have come to write this review there are two points that have occured to me that are worth mentioning.I liked how the sponge holds water, but lets it go again. It retains it's shape. The stick does not disintergrate (I can't remember if they are plastic or not).What I'm using these for is maybe novel? I have a micro aquarium and have had it set up from 'new' for a few weeks waiting for fish. I've got a bit of an algae problem now. But I also now have fish in it and some are taking care of the algae issue. I have some cloudy algae clinging to the plants but floating, and I also have algae floating on the surface. I've used these swabs to clear up the algae from the surface of the water. The reason I'm using these is so that I can squeeze the water back out and keep as much in the tank as possible. I have just one little fry that I don't want to risk picking him up in a water change, and also as it is a micro tank adding tiny amounts of water to keep it above the lid is difficult to measure tap safe etc. So these solved the problem for me.They also arrived vacuum packed, they retained good shape shortly after, but were fully in shape when I came back the next day.
