What the Joy-Con should've been (or had)
This accessory is super nice! It fits my hands perfectly and allows the Joy-Cons to be held more comfortably when detached and used as a motion controller, or allows the Switch to comfortably be grasped in handheld mode for long periods of time, and is overall just super good to use. An accessory like this is what Nintendo should have included for the Joy-Cons when the Switch was released. A nitpick I have is that it's uncomfortable to use when using the Joy-Con as a controller, but if we're being honest here, it's better to use the Pro Controller or a third-party controller than the Joy-Con as a controller. The grips also block the top USB port on the side of the dock so that's another gripe I have. This is especially great for people who use their base model/OLED model Switch in handheld mode. Even if you won't use it in handheld mode often, these accessories can live on your Joy-Cons when docked and are easy to remove if you carry your Switch in a case.

Very baller grips for a very baller console
Fantastic product, it feels light without the joycons but with them it feels so nice and weighted without being too heavy. It is a game changer for handheld gaming without having to spend 80 dollars on a new pair of ergonomic joycons. I've played many an hours with knockoffs and this and that and the regular joycons with the grips are the best for handheld on a budget. Now you can buy the new 80 dollar Nintendo game instead of some joycons!

Solid grip for the price
I wasn’t sure what I was going to get with how low these were priced, but I really liked them. They give the switch a much more comfortable feel and they’re easy to put on and takeoff. They feel kind of cheap but so far so good they’re lasting well. They’re tough to dock the switch with unfortunately so I have to take them off each time which is why I’m deducting a star.

Great addition to playing Switch in handheld mode.
Makes playing in handheld mode a lot more comfortable. Doesn't interfere with dock. Easy to put on and off the Joy-Cons. There's a notch that goes around the Joy-con release and a little tang that grabs one of the screw holes. I've not had them come loose on me but there is not much holding them on, its mostly just tension.

Helps a lot
I have issues with my hands, the joy cons were getting hard for me to hold for hours on end. The little grippy attachments help a lot! No more cramping in my fingers or sore wrists.

An absolute requirement for comfortable play on the Switch 1!
These Joycon grips have completely changed my Mario gaming experience for the better! For context, I’m 31 years old and have pretty large hands…hands that don’t quite fit the small size of the Switch 1 Joycons. I also have hypermobile joints in my hands that bend and flex in ways they really shouldn’t, making it extremely frustrating to grip things normal people have no trouble with. Before I got these grips, the controllers would always sit way too low in my hands, to the point that my thumbs would always have trouble sitting on top of the joysticks properly. They’d always be too for forward or backward, leading to my thumbs constantly slipping off and ruining my ability to run away from Bouldergeist’s attacks in Super Mario Galaxy in his Daredevil Comet Run. All the other levels were made more difficult in their own ways as well because of this problem. But once I got these very Steam Deck-like grips onto my Joycons, they actually started sitting up higher in my hands than they were before, and I can now easily rest my thumbs on top of the joysticks without any issues! The difference between grips and no grips is so night and day, it feels like an entirely different console in the best way possible! This is hands down an absolute necessity for people with joint dysfunction like mine to make gaming accessible for all of us! I don’t think anyone should play on a Nintendo Switch 1 without them! Do note, however, that these will *only* work on the Nintendo Switch 1 and Nintendo Switch OLED models, NOT Nintendo Switch 2. These are made for the Switch 1’s smaller Joycon size, and not the bigger ones the Switch 2 has. Also, in case the product images confuse you like they did for me, these grips do not come with a matching case for the Switch; it’s just the Joycon grips and nothing else. I think the case used in the product images is just for show.

Its alright, but not great for my ideal ergonomic enhancement
I wish they were bigger in regard to ergonomics. It is definitely more comfortable than the flat joycon, but unfortunately the secure attachment design can be troublesome for removing and sometimes it slips just enough to cause the piece to slide off the console. It kinda feels like it took the original joycon grip and spilt it into two pieces. Which has benefits, but still causes my hands to cramp. I dont have big hands; but lanky slender so maybe it works better for someone else. Worth a shot at the price I got it at. Especially with switch 1 being slowly phased out.

I’ve been using my switch occasionally for a while but always struggled with how flat it is. Just not very comfortable for my hands if I play for longer than 20 minutes. This changes the ergonomics quite a bit. Now you have some thickness on the sides, the joysticks are easier to interact with and your thumbs feel more comfortable too. Although be very careful and do try to swing or other maneuver your switch while holding it in one hand by one of these grips. It will slip out and fly away. Don’t ask me how I found this out. All good though, the couch arrested its downfall. The fit on the switch is also spot on btw.
