Works like a charm.
For the price I paid (roughly £90 for a used device), I couldn't be happier. Some of the sellers on this page are actually offering a D630 (a slightly upgraded model) instead of the listed D620, so take a look at the seller condition descriptions to see what you're getting for your money. I received a D630 so bear that in mind when reading this review. These Dell Latitudes were likely old company workstations that have been refurbished/data wiped and sold on to the public. D630 has a pretty nippy Intel Core 2 Duo processor (2 GHz) and it runs desktop applications with ease. It has a weak Intel 965 graphics chip so don't bother if you're intending this as a gaming device - it isn't designed for such. It is quite a bulky bugger - probably not the type of Laptop you necessarily want to carry around all day unless you have a car.It has a native resolution of 1280 x 800. Mine originally came with Windows 7 Professional installed and did struggle running Youtube videos in 720p quality at 60fps but a free upgrade to Windows 10 and videos are now much smoother. The free Windows 10 upgrade offer is now officially ended but you may still be able to get the upgrade using the accessibility work around. Open Ease of Access Centre in control panel (shortcut: Windows Key + ‘U’) and start one of the accessibility tools, such as on-screen keyboard, then Google 'Windows Update Accessibility' and it should link the "Windows 10 upgrade for assistive technology users - Microsoft" page. It should recognise the accessibility tool running and allow you to upgrade for free. There wasn’t any bloatware installed, although the laptop came with Avast free edition antivirus which was a mild pain getting rid of. The uninstaller refused to run so I had to download a dedicated software removal tool and run it under Windows safe mode. After removing the AV program it then installed a ‘free upgrade utility’ which kept displaying a popup every time I started the laptop. I had to disable it from running in Task Scheduler and then delete the folder containing the upgrade utility. There are surely better (less annoying) free antivirus programs available (Bitdefender and Comodo spring to mind). I installed ESET Smart Security 10 anyway and it runs perfect. My laptop came with 2GB RAM but the D630 model is apparently upgradeable to 8GB (don’t take my word for it though). Upgrading RAM may prove a bit fiddly as to access one of the memory slots requires removing the keyboard – there are tutorials on youtube. You can also upgrade the Hard disk if desired. There is on-board Wi-Fi (with a disabler switch on the side of the laptop), Ethernet connection on rear of laptop, DVD drive (with CD-RW capability), 4 USB ports (two on one side, 2 on the rear), headphone and microphone sockets, 15-pin VGA connector and 9-pin serial port. There’s no webcam for spying on employees(!)I’m very impressed with this. Perfect for work or home use. Not a gaming platform. If you decide to shell out for one of these, look to see if the seller is offering a D620 or D630 – try to get the latter instead as it’s a slightly upgraded model.

What ever your needs
Easy to use easy to set up and multi-use. What you get is all the good parts of a standard desktop but with the added benefit of a portable laptop already installed area adobe reader, media player, anti-virus Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer and open office and the cd drive along with plenty of USB ports only downside the mouse can be a bugger at times apart from that no problems a good buy at £100

Works fine, but pirated.
I bought this laptop from Amazon, i'm gonna use it for fun.So i discovered it contains Microsoft Office 2007 Preactivated (I assume)After i installed drivers, i checked "My Recent Documents" and i was find out these files are pirated software, they are not genuine software, they are piracy/pirated/cracked software. the seller of the name is SEGZWCN who is putting piracy stuff inside of this laptop. When i turned on my dell laptop for first time, it has:- No OOBE- No Sound Driver (I installed it)- No Graphics Driver (I installed it)- No Wifi Driver (I installed it)This laptop is neutral but the only one thing is:Pirated Software is illegal inside of this laptop. i need to make sure it's clean and genuine.Anyways, ill give you 3 stars tbh. that's pretty much it. peace out.

but after a good clean with some baby wipes
Laptop arrived after nearly two weeks (slow postage method), and I would give it 7/10 for condition, very impressed for the money spent. It was a little bit grubby/dirty, but after a good clean with some baby wipes, and cotton buds for the keyboard it was fine. The battery on mine is actually pretty good, and lasts a few hours between charges, but the supplied battery charger / power supply did not work at all and was broken with something rattling around inside it.I emailed the seller, and no problems at all, a new PSU/charger was sent out quickly, which works 100%.The laptop had some useful free software installed, which was easy to remove as I use my own preferred software, and is perfectly fast enough for my needs.Overall I am very happy, and would recommend the company to friends without a second thought, they seem very customer focussed and trustworthy.

Great buy for the price!
I know this it's a minefield when trying to evaluate reviews. I was looking through all these myself a couple of weeks ago when trying to make a decision. When buying refurbished you will certainly get variance in the cosmetic quality, but the nuts and bolts of the device should be as they are described. Looking at the stats of the reviews, on balance you are far more likely to get a good working device than a dud- but if it's a dud, get it returned! It's also worth spending a bit more on something described as 'A' grade. Mine arrived pronto from the Stone Group- fairly well packed. When I opened the pack I was pleasantly surprised. Looks almost new apart from a minor 1cm scuff on the lid, but the screen and keyboard are immaculate. Also a new looking power supply. To get going all you have to do is enter the Windows 7 product key on the bottom of the device to activate.Off you go. So far, after a week, performance is as spec, and I have been able to do everything I have wanted to. Minor criticsm- the screen is a little dark but I have connected mine to a monitor. Also, as I have seen below, if you have keyboad issues you can always plug in a usb one- and a mouse! And there's no hdmi- but I don't care. At £89, it's a no brainer.
