I like these knives. They feel good in the hand and look nice as well. They don't feel cheap and the have a nice edge on them when they arrive. The steak knives are pretty standard but the fork, chef's knife and scissors are pretty good. The pairing knives are strong yet flexible and the bread knife is good but a little too short for my preference.The block is sturdy and heavy and I like how everything looks in there.

I have never in all my 70 plus years owned a set of quality knives. I just bought knives here and there as my old ones got too dull to use. These superb quality, SHARP knives are absolutely a joy to use! The wooden holder is beautiful to display the knives. BUT... if you have upper cabinets a standard 18 inches above your lower cabinets you should know the knives in the wooden holder will fit under the upper cabinets but you will have to move the holder from beneath the upper cabinets to get the knives out of the block. I did not expect that. Highly recommend you invest in this high quality set of knives with a beautiful sharp knife for every and any use and need!!!

I love this set of knives and block from D.Perlla because it’s a top-quality set of knives and accessories.The set is heavy, with the block and knives, it weighs 10lbs.Every piece in this set is as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional.Every piece has a full-tang blade, meaning the metal of the blade extends all the way through the handle. Thats a sign of a quality knife.The steak knives are of the same quality as the larger knives.I’m a frequent cook and I appreciate having everything in one holder.These knives are razor sharp.This set would make an excellent gift for a new kitchen of a seasoned chef.The fit and finish and feel of each piece is impressive to say the least.The set has it all.It includes 6 - 4.5” steak knives, a masterful pair of kitchen Shears, a large fork, and a 5” utility knife.Then there are the big knives with an 8” Chef, Bread and Slicing knife and a 7” Santoku knife. Also included is a sharpening steel. That’s a nice addition!This is of much higher quality than a starter set. I’m proud to own them and made last nights meal using them. Everything goes smoother , and safer, with a quality set of sharp knives.

No complaints about the quality of the knives for the price, they're good quality and good looking. The block, however, could be better. The slot for the shears is much too sloppy of a fit, allowing them to end up diagonal. The slots for the steak knives aren't all the same length vertically, so the handles don't line up. Nothing wrong functionally, just aesthetically displeasing.

When you buy a high-end set of knives you want to be sure you’re actually getting one. You have a sense that is what you’re receiving when it’s packaged with care and love.This set exceeded my expectations. Each knife came wrapped individually encased in a cardboard sleeves and plastic overwrap. Not only that but each one also had its tip protected by a hard plastic encasement. These are great quality knives. They look great and are very sharp. They are probably the best knives I’ve owned. For the price point, I would highly recommend.

This knife block initially interested me because of the bread knife and steak knives, but the variety provided will ensure I do not need to buy another knife for a long while. The knives all have a great "feel" to them which helps give them a sense of quality craftsmanship. The block is nice and simplistic, allowing a good place to stash your knives when not in use. The standout has been the kitchen shears, which have been a great upgrade over the $5 ones I had before.
