Nobody was ever cooler in a fake snake-skin suit
As energetic as the actual gig which, in turn, was as good as the Rats now and in the 70s/80s - there's hardly anyone to touch Bob and essentially the original line-up in terms of sheer energy as this band. Definitely see them. And definitely buy this.

was pretty good, although Bob showing his age (bit out of breath now and again) I must be getting old as well as some of the swearing was over the top and not really needed. That aside i enjoyed it and it brought back great memories of the 70's

LIKE CLOCKWORK!
I am a fan of these 'Concert Live' recordings, released immediately after gigs and taken straight from the mixing desk.As always, the recorded quality is excellent - a really great listening experience. This particular show (taken from the Roundhouse in 2013) captures the Rats in great form. The performance is extremely high energy and showcases a fabulous back catalogue which has been criminally overlooked down the years.Geldof's banter is often amusing, including a wonderful putdown on disc 1. The language is at times 'colourful'. Bob's vocals are good though he gets a little horse in places.Well worth investigating if you love the Boomtown Rats. Also check out the Dublin show - not a facsimile of this performance but a show with a different feel and atmosphere.
