These are great! They are very flavorful, and while I agree with the other reviewers who said they can be a little on the dry side if not soaked first, it does not take long to soften them. It depends what you're putting them in, too. I'm pretty lazy, so I have not done any pre-soaking. If you're slow-cooking something that retains heat, like a thick sauce, the leeks will get soft enough without extra help. A short soak in hot water should also be enough before adding them to something quicker cooking.

I'm having a hard time finding good dill that has flavor and isn't powdery. So I tried Kashan Dill Weed based on the picture, because it didn't look powdery and had good reviews. After opening, I had to throw it out. It did look like the photo - not powdery. But when I opened the (well-sealed) container, there was absolutely no dill flavor or aroma. I mean NONE. I will not buy again, and I can't recommend,

Really good quality dried savory leaves and great value considering the amount. Was a bigger container than I expected, but I use it often so that's fine. I use it a lot for roasted meats, especially chicken and pork. Also use it for beans a lot. Gives food a...well, savory and peppery flavor. Think the dried stuff shines in and is best for dishes where you're cooking it under moist heat, such as soups, stews and moist roasting so the herb hydrates and gets a chance to mingle with the other ingredients. This is good stuff though. Recommended
