It's everything you want in a YA Urban Fantasy.It follows 2 FMCs Valerie, who gives off Regina George vibes. And then we have Gwen who kinda gives off a Fern Mayo/Veronica Sawyer type of vibes.We also have our MMC Luke who definitely gives off Jason Dean vibes.This book made me laugh and made me ugly cry. This book helped me realize that I do not dislike ALL witchy books. I really enjoyed this book.This is a dual perspective novel between frenemies Gwen and Valeria. They used to be friends as children, but Valeria's mother changed that when she burned the bridge down connecting their friendship. Since then, Valeria has been miss popular and Gwen has been the outcast.What happens when a coven is devastated by the elders losing magic and everything is left to the fate of their children? Who has the mysterious malevolent magic that tragically killed a coven's member? What happens when Gwen wakes up with mysterious powers and realizes that she isn't a mundane?Read this book to find out! It is all things witchy with a lot of different tropes included.

Ava Caldwell is not messing around when it comes to her debut novel y'all! Unable to stop, I read this story in one sitting! Centered around a coven of powerful witches, this story is mysterious and thrilling with a full gamut of emotions, friendship, betrayal, love, drama and infinite power. I thought all of the characters were well thought out and consistent. This was a well written story with a perfectly fitting ending.As I was aimlessly scrolling Instagram one afternoon, I ran across this cover and immediately judged it. It's beautiful and intriguing! Just like the story inside.

This was a magical adventure from the very beginning. This story felt fresh and fleshed out in a universe of its own. I enjoyed the characters and the magical ride greatly. Thank you to the author for this wonderful read.

This was such a fun YA urban fantasy novel, and a killer debut!! The magic world Ava Caldwell has created was so intriguing, I spent all my free time reading until it was done!! This book brings together witches and mundanes in a modern world. We get high school mean girls, love, betrayal, secret prophecies and some really good twists! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun and quick read!

The cover of this book caught my eye and then the synopsis.
