a nice cool dark dark brown
This is a nice cool dark dark brown (the darkest). I’ve always had very dark, very thick, waist length hair. I’ve also always had a problem with red tones coming through then I color black or dark brown, so much that I’d have to mix in a little blue tint to cut it. This does the job nicely without having to add anything. I bought three boxes and *saturated* every bit of hair and then some. I saw some reviews that some people found it blotchy, but if you drench it, that shouldn’t be a problem. I haven’t used box dye in years but decided to give this one a try and I’m pleasantly surprised bc I’m very picky about my dark colors. It could be considered a soft or natural black. My hair isn’t coarse afterwards but I’m lucky to have very healthy hair no matter what I do to it. This photo is the end of my pony tail in lamp light, it looks more brown in sunlight of course but I really like it. I can’t speak to its longevity yet, as I only shampoo 1-2x a week, but we’ll see. I also noticed that the oily formula was easier to clean off when you get it all over you lol. It didn’t stain as quickly as professional dyes. But yeah, I’ll definitely be repurchasing.

Rich color! Beautiful! I love it!
I had a very awful experience with henna hair dye. No one told me that you cannot go back to using regular hair dye after henna. So I had to do so much research and finally came across this little gem. And I was pleased that now I am finally able to dye my hair back jet black. There are no side effects, at least not for me. And this dye does not contain any ammonia, which is harmful to your health. I’ve been using this for quite a while now, over a year and love the results.

A strong contender in the ammonia-free hair dye market.
Garnier Hair Color Olia is a popular choice for those looking for an ammonia-free hair dye with a focus on nourishing and vibrant results. Here’s a comprehensive review based on its key features and performance:Pros:Ammonia-Free Formula: One of the standout features is that Olia is free from ammonia. This can make the application process more pleasant and less harsh on the hair and scalp. It also helps to reduce the strong chemical smell often associated with hair dyes.Oil-Rich Formula: The dye is infused with natural oils (like flower oils), which help to nourish and condition the hair during the coloring process. This can leave hair feeling softer and looking shinier compared to some other dyes that can be drying.Rich, Long-Lasting Color: Many users report that the color results are vibrant and long-lasting. The dye is designed to penetrate deeply into the hair fiber, which helps the color to stay true and not fade quickly.Pleasant Scent: Compared to traditional hair dyes, the scent of Olia is generally considered to be more pleasant, likely due to the absence of ammonia.Wide Range of Shades: Garnier Olia offers a broad spectrum of shades, from natural to vibrant colors, making it easy to find a hue that suits your preferences.Good Coverage: It provides excellent coverage for gray hair, which is a significant benefit for those looking to cover up grays.Cons:Application: Some users find the application process a bit tricky. The oil-rich formula can be thicker and might not spread as easily as other dyes. This can sometimes make it harder to ensure even application.Development Time: The processing time might be longer compared to some other dyes, which could be a consideration if you’re looking for a quick coloring solution.Color Variability: As with any hair dye, results can vary depending on your starting hair color and type. It’s a good idea to do a strand test before applying the dye to your entire head to ensure you get the desired shade.Price: Garnier Olia can be a bit pricier compared to some drugstore hair dyes. However, the benefits of an ammonia-free formula and nourishing oils might justify the cost for many users.Overall:Garnier Hair Color Olia is a strong contender in the ammonia-free hair dye market. It offers vibrant, long-lasting color while being gentler on the hair thanks to its oil-rich formula. It’s a great choice for those looking to avoid ammonia and who appreciate added conditioning benefits. While the application might require a bit more effort and the price is slightly higher, the results often justify these considerations.

Colors great at first then fades rapidly
I use Olia Medium Blonde every month since my grays grow in so fast now...I love the color of this Olia. Problem is it washes out in about a week. It turns to a much lighter blonde...still better than gray but I would prefer the medium blonde to stay that way. Anyone using Olia and has a bad color result...don't worry it'll wash out in a weeks time. I do like no ammonia and it doesn't smell as bad as others I've used...Oh well not many good choices for those of us who color their own hair. I went once to a salon and it was expensive as heck and didn't not work well so I've been DIY for many years.

My go-to ammonia free hair color for blondes
I have light brown hair which is graying. This is my go-to hair color for coloring my greys and lifting my hair color by a couple of shades. I can go for 8 to 10 weeks before re-coloring.I also love that its ammonia free (not vegan).

Excellent product.
I have been using Olia for YEARS. It's an excellent product. Doesn't smell bad. I have never been disappointed. Gentle on my hair. I sometimes try other hair color products but always go back to Olia.

My favorite color - but now expired
I've had this on auto-ship for a few years now because I can no longer find it locally, however, all the ones I have gotten lately have all expired in 2022. I've still used them with no problem, but I will be finding another color from now on. They really should take them down once they expire.
