Canon LP1224 Soft Lens Pouch for EF 70 to 200mm f4.0L USM Lens

All my Canon lenses are stored in these Soft Lens Pouches before placing them into my camera backpacks. These help keep the lenses clean and dry under all the bizarre conditions I manage to find myself in while photographing.This is the first pouch that was just too snug. If you do not remove the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens mount, it is very difficult to even get the lens into the pouch... If you remove it, it works much better although, unlike all my other Canon pouches, even with the mounting ring removed the drawstrings does not fully close around this lens even though it's supposedly designed for it. I also had to remove a single lens filter in order to get it still not fully closed the way you see it pictured here.At the end of the day, this product is the same materials, workmanship, and quality as all my other pouches but it bothers me that I have to waste time loading and unloading my 'Go-TO' 70-22 zoom and then the lens mount and filter must first be reinstalled before I can use it.I'm a huge Canon fan but clearly, this pouch needs to be redesigned for carefree use. Looks essentially new and no complaints about the product. Lens fits well and materials seem quality. The soft cloth will protect the lens from scratches and abrasions, but won't cushion against shock. Shipping was slow and I had to follow up with the vendor...I suspect they actually failed to ship it until reminded.

Very pleased with the product that I received and would definitely buy it again and would recommend it to others.

Its more to prevent scratches. its not cushioned, so if it falls the lens will break any way, but it wont be scratched! haha. its nice when you have your lens inside your backpack or a baggage.
