I'm battling baldness and this supplement has helped me stop the hair loss. I recommend it to men who are self-conscious about their baldness.

I did a lot of research since (as usual) there is very minimal info on how this works for women experiencing hair loss. There was enough anecdotal evidence to suggest I should try it. A few years ago, my hair started falling out due to (presumably) hormonal changes as part of normal aging. I had tried Rogaine for 2 years with no noticeable improvement. Took one of these supplements each night and after about 4 months, voila! No more shedding!! That was about a year ago. I still take one per night and I'm still not shedding. I'm thrilled. My hairdresser noticed and started taking it, and it worked for her too. I've been sharing the tip with other lady friends. It's definitely worth a try if you have hormone-related hair loss.

Excellent product, ideal for discomforts caused by age

I am using this product as a 5alpha reductase inhibitor in combination with d-aspartic acid. The first time I took DAA, I noticed my hairline took a small jump back. Its possible my test levels increased from the DAA and some of that test converted to DHT(the typical culprit for male pattern baldness). So as a way to reduce the conversion of test to DHT, I decided to use this product. My subjective conclusion: I think this product has been successful at reducing my DHT levels. My hairline hasn't seen any new migration since taking DAA again and my comb hasn't been full of hair. However, I have noticed one side effect, my libido is slightly diminished, and I am less sensitive (this may not be a bad thing for some). It stands to reason that the underlying causes of what I experienced with this product and that of DAA could be attributed to completely different reasons than what I think they were caused from. These were simply my observations coupled with opinion, take them for what you will. Would I buy this product again: yes absolutely, it is a small price to pay to insure that I keep my hair for longer in addition to the other possible benefits of saw palmetto.
