Nepenthes ALATA - Pitcher Plant. Carnivorous Plant in 14cm Pot

I am very impressed with this product easily the best plant ive ever bought.Since lockdown I've randomly started getting interested in plants, especially carnivorous ones, what started as a spur of the moment purchase of a cactus and venus fly trap turned into a collection of 27 plants (with a further 4 on the way) including a trumpet pitcher plant, multiple sundews, a herb kit, several tropical pitcher plants, a butterwort, bladderwort, midget jug, succulent and 4 orchids.All in all this product impresses me the most out of all of them the condition it arrived to me in was amazing (see images 1-3) my parents were gobsmacked something that high quality could arrive in the post.The plant was cushioned in newspaper clippings to prevent soil disruption and damage to the well developed pitchers during transit. Though i will admit this was stressful to remove as it was very tangled in the pitchers so i had to use scissors to cut the newspaper away and at one point i thought i accidentally cut a tendril (see image 4) i was relieved to find i had not cut the plant and this was in fact just two developing pitchers next to one another. It was very comforting to see the care that had gone into preparing this plant for travel and was well worth the price i paid.Having kept this plant a month now it really doesnt seem all that different from when i got it except for maybe 1/2 leaf nodes growth which goes to show how high a quality it arrived to me in. In fact the other week i accidentally knocked the plant over and broke a pitcher so its probably worse off in my care then it was in transit.All in all im very pleased with this product and i hope i keep it alive for a very long time as its been a pleasure to have such an extraordinary plant.

Great specimen, full plant with lots of healthy pitchers. Came well watered and very well protected.Only issue I have is the delivery company. Evri sent me to messages to say they were coming didn't come either of them days. Was a little concerned it would be sitting in a cold factory over a cold weekend.

The media could not be loaded. I was so sceptical of ordering any plants on amazing as I usually go to a plant nursery, however, I’ve bitten the bullet and ordered one of these beautiful plants!It did take a while to come, over a month!I had even joked around to my partner saying they probably need to dig it out of its natural environment first hah!Once it had arrived, I was so nervous and excited but was very very presently surprised.The plant was well hydrated and very well packaged!It has now been a couple of weeks and the plant is still going strong and healthy!So if you’re not sure if you should or shouldn’t then; - don’t hesitate! Buy one!

The plant was a bit muddy from transit but that is literally the only fault i could find with this. The plant itself arrived in still moist soil and is well grown with plenty of healthy leaves and pitchers, it also arrived 2 days earlier than expected which is a nice bonus too.I dont think you'd be able to get many plants delivered from an online source and have them arrive in as good of a condition as this did, good job with the packaging.

Plant was pretty much DOA. To be fair, it was obvious it had been wrapped with care but the delivery company did not take the same care. The plant was upside down, soil everywhere. The box had been heavily dented and most of the pitchers were crushed. Despite our best efforts the plant didn't recover.

Arrived 12 days after ordering and packed extremely well.The plant was a little dirty from the potting compost but cleaned up nicely and wasn't damaged at all.Smaller than the pictures listed and other reviewers photos but a healthy looking plant with good pitchers and a few baby pitchers growing.I'm going to repot into a tall standing pot (nowhere to hang it sadly) with spagnum and, fingers crossed, it will grow for me 😀UPDATE... The last photo is of the plant after a couple of months... its growing extremely well!!

First time ordering a PLANT online and I have to say phenomenal packaging and service, the plant was undamaged and looks beautifully fresh and lively! I have watched plenty of useful YouTube videos on how to take care of it, curious if it will survive harsh UK climates (keeping ours indoors). *Make sure you collect RAIN WATER from the garden, NOT tap water!

The plant looks really presentable (hence 3 stars), but unfortunately no flies caught ever since we hanged it several weeks ago.
