Good size for those electric smoker pans which never work with wood chips. Instead just fill up the pouch and use that inside the pan or inside the smoker. Provides enough smoke if you just want a light smoke when the meat is cold. Most meat aborbs smoke when the meat is below 120 so your safe with this small pouch to use strong flavor pellets since the burn time will not be as long as tubes.

I took a star off because I had to figure out how to get it to work.It took a little trial and error for me to use this. I first tried using it lying on its side. The wood pellets kept going out. Then I relit it on the closed end and stood it up. It worked quite well. Smoked a couple of cheeses with great results. Plan to smoke some more once the weather cools down.

I thought this might be a great little item, only to find out I was wrong!I did exactly what the instructions said to do to light this, AND IT WOULD NOT LIGHT!! It was as if the label (that you light) was made out of fireproof material!After an hour and two spark lighters, I placed it directly on my gas grill burner, it finally lit, and in 15 minutes it was all done, very little smoke, and a waste of time and money.I saved the metal pouch and will try filling it up with fresh chips and try it again, but it was very disappointing!

Followed the directions and it wouldn't stay lit long enough to catch the contents on. Tried 3 times then cube quit lighting. Tried calling up the directions and having a go, but they wouldn't burn either!! Brisket is cooking and my meat probe isn't working right either , ARRRRGHH!!!!!,

I guess, I don't know I have smoked for awhile and honestly think this is a gimmick maybe if you only had propane available this would be ok but honestly it didn't want to lite kept going out . I think if I where you I would buy a rigid one this collapsible mesh doesn't seem like it works all that well

Great for cold smoking or adding smoke flavor to your grilling.

I really liked this concept, great for smoking hot or cold. Adds a rich depth of flavor to meats. I plan to try with cheese too.

Learning how to smoke cheese and this was a perfect idea and it works very well
