Hand Therapy Putty, Set of 2-4 Ounce, Firm / 2X-Firm Resistances (Blue/Indigo)

I get a little antsy sitting at the desk all day typing away and this thing is just wonderful for getting out that built up energy. Spending most of my time at the keyboard, it's also very important that my hands stay "clean" so really love the fact that this thing leaves nooo residue at all on the hands! It feels very squishy and "oily" but once you put it back in the container you realize that it was just all in the putty. Get it, it's great. I tried other types of clay and putties, but this one beats them all.As far as firmness...it's not all that firm. I got the purple one and it's pretty tough, but it's maybe as tough as some hand warmed sculpy or modeling clay- it's not thaaat hard. But...I have no clinical issues with my hands/arms, and am in my mid twenties, so...yeah. Also as far as size goes, it's a nice handful! just enough to fit in "normal" adult hand- about the size of a tangerine.

Using for hand therapy is beneficial to building hand strength and COMFORT.

Having arthritis in the hands pretty much excludes you from the standard hand exercisers. This product is great as it just is squeezed with no hard resistance and has the same effect in keeping dexterity. I have 3 different strengths and depending on how my hands feel use the appropriate one.

My 10 year old has ADHD and is always fidgeting. After realizing he also has some muscular issues with his hands we saw an Occupational Therapist. She recommended this. He absolutely loves it. It stays on the living room table and he plays with it while he watches tv or is on his table or pretty much anything. He almost always plays with it. I personally think it helps. After he is done, he puts it back in the plastic tub and back on one of the tables. If he cant find it, he freaks. We started with the pink soft-med and after about 2 months have moved to the green medium. The consistency of the pink is a little bit softer than silly putty. The green is slightly tougher than silly putty. It seems to be quite a difference. But this works well.On a side note, we also purchased those medicine balls and he prefers the putty.

My physical hand therapist recommended this product to continue my therapy at home. She uses it in her office. I use it and my range of motion is improved.

Been using hand therapy putty for over 10 years to restore a paralyzed hand. Therapeutic putty in general is very helpful; my hand is stronger than it has ever been even with arthritis. Humactive is a good putty, better than the no-name I have been using recently, mainly because it stays intact and is not sticky. Have been using a 5 oz size but find the 4 oz Humactive size is good. The reason for 3 stars is the container which I find very flimsy. One of the two in the set came damaged. The top is sturdier than the body and fortunately I found a small food container that fits the top so we are good. The container is important because of frequent use.

We bought this at my son's occupational therapist's recommendation. Its awesome, not at all messy, cleans up well. Can definitely tell a difference between colors on the the level of how hard it is. Haven't had any issues with it
