Good for oral hygiene
The benefits of mastic gum are twofold .. not only is it supposed to be good for eliminating h pylori from the gut in a very gentle way, it also seems to help with oral hygiene and prevent bleeding gums / throat infections. Initially, it's a bit of an expensive outlay as you are told to use a larger dose to start with, but a maintenance dose of one a day is not so bad, which is what I'm on now. I would now only go back onto a higher dose after a course of antibiotics, or a gastric bug. It works alongside probiotics (not taken at the same time) to facilitate a return to proper digestion after years of reflux /IBS and to fewer sore throats in general. Suitable for Gluten / Lactose / Wheat free diets.
