They are perfect for my little wildlife friends!!

Purchased for my squirrel. He loved them. I cracked the shells with a mallet because he buried the whole ones. (They'll forget where they buried them, hiding them from other squirrels. Waste of money then.)He loved the cracked ones.Diamond has maintained their quality for me for over 40 years.

First of all, the shipping was fast and the nuts were of good quality, all appeared to be fresh. So, I rate seller and shipping excellently. I know these are mixed nuts, but I am not a fan of Brazil Nuts mainly because their shells are very hard to crack, and I find I have to use a hammer to achieve that. Then once the shell is cracked, I find that the nutmeat clings to the shell and I have to take a sharp-pointed knife to scrape out the Brazil nutmeat. Then there is the issue of selenium, which a little is good but too much can be hazardous for humans and especially for small animals such squirrels. My last bag contained 5 very large Brazil Nuts, and I wish it had none, but guess it is what it is since they are MIXED nuts, though both I and my wild squirrels would have preferred more Walnuts instead, or even Hazelnuts, which my furry friends seem to enjoy immensely.

I'm not sure if this was a sale price or if this is the everyday price, but it's much lower per ounce as compared to many other brands. I was looking for a variety of untouched mixed nuts in the shell for the outside squirrels and birds that I feed. However it's been too expensive for me to give them this indulgence. So I was surprised when I found these nuts, which are half the price of even some of the cheaper ones that I have been looking at. I bought two packages. We just had a cold snap so recently I put them out, and they were extremely popular with a larger birds and the squirrels. I totally recommend them. I tried them myself they're good.

Grabbed these because they were cheaper here than in store. The nuts were fairly fresh. Some were a bit dried out (I tried to show in the photo the nut is starting to shrink from its shell) but I did buy them late in season so I can't complain too much. They all still smell fresh and none of them seem spoiled. The bag I bought had 20 months until it expired.I like having an assortment even if it was mostly almonds and walnuts. There were only three pecans in the whole bag so it might be best to buy those separately.These are good quality and tasty and fun to eat and I'd definitely buy them again.
