The solution for sensitive skin that's allergic to every other anti-perspirant I've tried
All of a sudden about two years ago I started turning up allergic to every anti-perspirant I tried, starting with the one I'd used for years without issue. I finally landed on Lume' for the deodorant and that actually worked best for me, but could not use their anti-perspirant products, just their deodorant, and constantly had wet pits that would still start smelling towards the end of the day. After speaking to a dermatologist, she recommended this Vanicream Anti-Perspirant Deodorant for Sensitive Skin. I checked several stores before finding it on Amazon. The first time I used it, it did burn a little and cause a small rash. I think my skin was still agitated from the last shave. It was a little dry/rough going on the first time, but now that first layer is off the product, it does go on smoothly without pulling at the skin. It's been almost a week, and I've had dry underarms no matter what I'm wearing since after the first application (which was in the morning). Use it at night after washing, and it works perfect! I did also change my shave cream to something more high quality, started moisturizing the skin there, and changed my razor to a brand new one geared toward sensitive skin and all that together seems to have solved my two year problem. No breakthrough sweat, no breakthrough smell. I feel like a normal person again and can stop avoiding other people for fear my deodorant has stopped working. So far, no rash, no burning, no itching either. I think... hopefully... this is finally the product that's going to work long term for me. I'm so glad the dermatologist recommended it!

Works great and truly SCENT FREE!
I’ve been looking for a fragrance free deodorant as I cannot tolerate fragrances at ALL! I’ve smelled the ones in store that say they are fragrance free but they smell horrid and of chemicals. I did some research online and people suggested this one. I ordered it and WOW! It’s truly scent free! I can sniff it up to my nose and nothing at all! I have been wearing it for a week now and it’s great with keeping sweat at bay just like normal deodorant. I will say for the size it’s a bit small but worth it if you have sensitive skin or need scent free.

A clean deodorant that actually works!
My husband has super sensitive underarms and almost every deodorant he’s tried causes irritation, redness, or that annoying burning feeling. It’s also way “cleaner” than another deodorant he’s tried! This one is the first that keeps him dry all day without any reaction. It goes on smooth, has no strong scent, and doesn’t leave residue on clothes. If you’ve struggled with sensitivity or reactions to other formulas, this is absolutely worth trying. Gentle, effective, and truly made for sensitive skin.

Skin is happy!
Dries quickly, lasts long. No rashes and notice way less discoloration when I use this regularly vs drugstore antiperspirant. No discomfort or slickness after application. Good at antiperspirant but does not stand up to stinky. I pair it with a non-antiperspirant deodorant scent I like and that works better for my sensitive skin than a scented antiperspirant.

Check if product has been tampered with
Ordered two of these deodorants. Overall I think the deodorant itself was good. Doesn’t cause skin irritation and does a good job with preventing smells and sweating. However, just a warning to purchasers to double check it hasn’t already been opened and used. 1 out of the 2 was previously opened missing the safety seal and very obviously had been used at least once.

Best Deodorant Ever
I have contact dermatitis that flares up whenever and wherever and recently I have been getting bad rashes under my arm. I would use the ordinary toner as a deodorant but after getting this rash I wasn’t able to so I switched back to clinical strength deodorant because the heat in NY recently is bad. I used degree and secret clinical strength and the burning of it was horrible. Did some research and chat gpt recommended this to me which I was skeptical at first because it has no scent but it works so well. Since using it my rash is slowly going away, it does in fact help with odor and does not burn going on at all. Would definitely be getting the rest of my life, please never stop carrying this!!! The only con I can think of is at the end of the day when trying to bathe it leaves a weird film under my arm which is hard to take off with regular rag and soap. I need to use facial product and a silicone face scrub to scrub the day’s deodorant off to then reapply a fresh new coat before bed.

Finally, Something That Works and Doesn't Cause Rashes
Update Edit: I've noticed it works better if rubbed in a bit. This isn't like most scented deodorants. It works by using antibiotic properties, not fragrance. If you rub it in well, perhaps it works in almost a long-lasting, "dry" soap kind of way. If only placing a 1-2 kind of gentle coating motion, it really doesn't work as well. So I would recommend working it into the skin with the applicator 7-10 passes worth. Dont use more product than normal, I just mean spread it around/rub it into skin. Works really great. No smell, but allows me to smell like me, just without B.O. :-) Note: I've never been much of a sweat-er, so if you're someone who gets very sweaty easily, not sure if this would still be effective for you...BUT I would still try it, if I were you, anyway. Because it's been really effective for me and it can't hurt. I've gotten NO rashes or itching from it. I've reacted to several common deodorant products in the past which is why I decided to try this one. No weird discoloration. No damage to clothing. It has lasted over a day for me, when I've forgotten to reapply the next day and didn't need a shower that morning (it was a busy day lol I have 3 young kids so sometimes shower time gets delayed!) The only thing I dislike about it is that it's a wet gel/paste texture. So it stays a bit wet and cold for a couple minutes. But you don't have to wait until it's dry to put your shirt on or anything. I just go about my day, if it gets a bit on the fabric I can't tell. Like I said, no damage to clothing. It isn't oil based. It's also not wet enough to soak into the fabric, so no weird wet underarm spots when applying. It's just really great. Sure, maybe sometimes I wish it had some fun, interesting scent like "ginger green tea jasmine ylang-ylang sugar cookie forest" or whatever, but I KNOW I would get a rash from most, or any, kind of fragrance ingredients lol Tip: a lot of hippie dippy people like to say essential oils are safe for sensitive skin, but a lot of people get rashes from them. I don't understand how they are allowed to say on products with essential oils that they're sensitive or allergy safe. They just aren't. Even people who don't usually have what they consider to be "sensitive skin" sometimes react to essential oil. Just FYI. So if you DO have sensitive skin, you really should try to get fragrance free stuff. Essential oils are NOT hypoallergenic. Anyway, I love this deodorant. I hope they never stop making this because it's really the only one I've found that my skin gets along with. AND it works better than any other one I ever used. It's even better than a certain SUPER popular drugstore brand aimed at men that I was using before this. Not sure if I'm allowed to name the brand here in my review. Let's just say it's name is the name of a tool lumberjacks use ;-) I'm sure you know what I mean. Well, this works BETTER than that. At least in my experience.

The best of the hypoallergenic A/Ds but messy
I have been on the hunt for a quality hypoallergenic antiperspirant/deodorant for several years now since developing allergic contact dermatitis to many common ingredients. What I have learned is that there is no product that checks all the boxes: allergen-free, sweat reducing, odor blocking, non-marking/non-messy, affordable. With that said, the Vanicream stick checks 3 of the 5 boxes, which is the most out of any I’ve tried thus far. It’s hypoallergenic and is the best at sweat AND odor blocking out of all the “safe for me” deodorants I have tried. Most other products are only good at sweat OR odor control, and I live in the desert where both are definitely necessary. On the flip side, the product does pill up quite a bit after minor sweating to the point where I would feel self conscious about it if going out in a tank top. Also, at $10 a stick, while cheaper than some of the others, it’s still not a great price point. I will continue to try new products, but this will probably be my new main at least until the temps fall below 100 and I can get away with using something less effective but cleaner. For anyone else out there struggling to find a good product, here are mini-reviews of the other products I have tried: -Native Lavender & Rose Paraben-Free Aluminum-Free Deodorant (2/5 stars): Cons: I didn't smell like BO but I didn't smell like lavender and roses either. Aluminum-free so there was no sweat control. Expensive. Pros: didn't make a mess, allergen-free (for me, lavender is ok) -Dry Idea AdvancedDry Unscented Antiperspirant & Deodorant Clear Gel (0/5 stars) : Cons: I still got pretty sweaty with this one, not a big fan of the gel. Pros: Cheap, goes on clean, ok odor-blocking. 0 out of 5 stars because they abruptly changed the formula to include fragrance yet still mark it as "hypoallergenic/unscented," which is shady AF. Always check the label every time you buy, even if it's a product you've used before! -Acure Lavender & Coconut Deodorant (3/5 stars): Cons: basically the same as Native - no sweat control, slightly better odor control, but a little messier. Pros: cheaper than Native, allergen-free (for me, lavender is ok) -Each & Every Natural Aluminum-Free Deodorant, Unscented (3/5 stars): Cons: No sweat control, expensive. Pros: Actually has pretty decent odor control without added scents, goes on clean, allergen-free. This could be a main for me in the winter. -Speed Stick Antiperspirant & Deodorant Solid, Unscented (3/5 stars): Cons: I was surprised at how sweaty I got with this antiperspirant. Have to reapply at least once during the day. Pros: Cheap, goes on clean, ok odor control, allergen-free. This could be a main for me in the winter. -Almay Sensitive Skin Clear Gel Antiperspirant & Deodorant, Fragrance-Free (0/5 stars): This product made such a sticky mess of my underarms that I couldn't leave it on long enough to evaluate its effectiveness.
