Vegan, thoughtfully formulated, and non-irritating
This hair growth serum arrived well sealed, with an expiration date about two and a half years in the future. It’s made in India and comes in a small glass bottle with a dropper built into the lid. It’s a practical form factor that makes the product easy to use. The serum is clear, lightweight, and looks and feels almost like water. It has a neutral scent, which I really value, especially compared to hair products that are heavily perfumed. This product contains the following ingredients: Aqua, Propanediol, Ethoxydiglycol, Glycerin, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Betaine, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Pisum Sativum (Pea) Sprout Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosrmary) Leaf Extract, Serenoa Serrulata Fruit Extract, Larix Europaea Wood Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Germ Extract, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Malus Domestica Fruit Cell Culture Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Niacinamide, Sodium Metabisulfite, Zinc Chloride, Glycine, Pentylene Glycol, Phytic Acid, Arginine, PEG-40, Chrysin, Oleanolic Acid, Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, Butylene Glycol, Caffeine, Biotin, Lactic Acid, Gluconolactone, CalciumGluconate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glutamic Acid, Aspartic Acid, Alanine, Cysteine, Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Sodium Benzoate, Proline, Phenylalanine, Serine, Threonine, Tyrosine, Valine, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Xanthan Gum, Lecithin, Polyquaternium-10, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Gluconate. At first glance, the ingredient list looked overwhelming, but after taking the time to read through it, I came away feeling that this formula is carefully and intentionally designed. Rather than relying on quick cosmetic effects, it seems focused on long-term scalp and hair health. There’s a strong emphasis on supporting the scalp environment, strengthening existing hair, and encouraging healthier growth over time, without making unrealistic overnight promises. That approach matters to me, since my scalp clearly needs sustained support rather than short-term tricks. The texture is very lightweight and absorbs easily without leaving any greasy or heavy feeling. It layers well with other hair products and doesn’t weigh down fine hair. It feels hydrating without being oily, dries cleanly, and doesn’t leave behind residue, stiffness, or buildup. I also appreciate that it doesn’t leave my scalp smelling like I rolled around in a flower garden. Despite containing many botanical extracts, the serum feels comfortable and non-irritating on my skin. The bottle is small at 25 ml (0.84 oz), so consistency and mindful application are important if you want it to last. I use just a few drops daily directly on my scalp, which has worked well for me so far. I also appreciate that the product is vegan and formulated without animal testing. Overall, this feels like a well-researched, ingredient-forward option for people experiencing thinning or shedding who are looking for a supportive, non-drug approach. It doesn’t feel gimmicky, and while results naturally take time, it’s a thoughtfully made product for anyone willing to be patient and consistent.

Promising Formula with Solid Actives – Starting My 3-Month Journey (Photos Included)
I’ve been using the Pilgrim Advanced Hair Growth Serum (25ml bottle) for a short time now, following the directions: 3 full droppers applied to a dry scalp at night, massaged in gently near the roots, and left overnight. I avoid the hair strands as recommended, and plan to stick with it consistently for the full three months to evaluate real results. What stands out positively: • The key actives look impressive: 3% Redensyl, 4% Anagain, and 5% Capilia Longa Stem Cell Complex (from Curcuma Longa/turmeric), plus Korean Black Rice extract. These are popular, research-backed alternatives to harsher treatments for boosting growth, reducing fall, and improving density. • Texture is lightweight and non-greasy – it absorbs quickly without leaving any oily residue on the scalp or hair the next day. The dropper applicator works well for precise application (see photo of the serum dispensing). • Vegan, PETA-approved, no animal testing, dermatologically tested, and free of toxic chemicals – nice to see the “Pilgrim Code” certifications on the box. • The scent has a mild medicinal/hospital-like note (probably from some of the actives or preservatives), but it’s not overpowering and doesn’t linger much after application. It doesn’t bother me at all. A few notes/caveats: • Regarding the “Korean Black Rice” claim and the cute Dol Hareubang (grandfather stone statue) illustration on the box – it evokes Jeju Island’s famous nutrient-rich black rice/barley varieties. However, since this is made in India (by Naturis Cosmetics in Jammu, marketed from Mumbai), there’s no official Jeju certification logo. It’s likely an inspired extract (Oryza Sativa in ingredients), but I can’t independently confirm it’s authentic Jeju-sourced black rice. Still, rice extracts are generally beneficial for hair shine and strength. • Results claims mention visible changes in 28 days based on a clinical study (36 participants), but individual results vary by age, gender, and conditions. I’m realistic and patient – hair growth takes time, so I’ll update if I notice reduced fallout or new baby hairs after consistent use. • For three months, I’ll probably need about 3 bottles (25ml each), depending on usage – one bottle seems to last 3–4 weeks with nightly application. Overall, it’s a clean, thoughtfully formulated serum from an Indian brand drawing on global ingredients (Korean-inspired elements). Early days, but the non-sticky feel and solid ingredient profile make it easy to incorporate into my routine. If you’re looking for a non-minoxidil option to try for hair fall and thinning, this seems worth a shot. Photos attached show the box front/back, ingredients list, and dropper in action. Will check back in after 1–3 months!

Lightweight Serum with a Pleasant Scent – A Fun Scalp Experiment
I ordered the “Pilgrim Advanced Hair Care Serum with Redensyl, Anagain & Capilia Stem Cell Complex | Enriched with Korean Black Rice & Saw Palmetto | Lightweight Scalp Serum for Men & Women (25ml / 0.85 fl oz)” as an experiment for my husband, who is mostly bald on top. I have been applying it to his scalp and massaging it in every day since he likely wouldn't do it himself. While I am happy with him exactly as he is, I know he would enjoy seeing some hair return to the top of his head, so we thought this would be a trial worth trying together. This product is made in India, and I really appreciate that this is clearly labeled on the box. While the packaging uses buzzwords about Korean beauty, which is very popular right now, the origin is not hidden or ambiguous. One thing to note is that the suggested use of three droppers full per application means the bottle will go quite quickly. Since hair growth typically takes several months to show real results, you will definitely need more than one bottle to give it a fair chance. The serum itself has a lightly medicinal smell that I find very interesting but not at all unpleasant. It is fairly subtle, and neither my husband nor I find it bothersome when it is being massaged in. The consistency is more watery than greasy, which is a huge plus because it soaks into the scalp without leaving a residue or making a mess on the pillowcases in the morning. At under ten dollars, it is a great value even if it only provides a small amount of improvement. I am starting this off at five stars and will definitely report back if we see noticeable growth by the time the bottle is empty.
