Worked! I was able to read my pressure gauge and computer at depth.
This is the second set of Hydrotac lenses I bought. I bought a new mask that has semi-prescription lenses that are off-the shelf lenses which are close to my distance prescription for each eye. My first set of stick-on were 3.0X. This time I bought the 1.50X stick-ons and: - Don't skip this step: Cleaned the lenses of the mask with SEA BUFF (you can also use toothpaste). Following the instructions, I aggressively scrubbed the lenses (inside and out), rinsed them, scrubbed them again and rinsed them thoroughly. - Don't skip this step either: washed the inside of my mask with oil free soap - I used plain dish soap as it removes grease and oils (Do this step twice.) - thoroughly rinsed out all the soapy water - put warm water in the mask and dumped it out leaving the glass wet - wet the stick-ons and positioned them in the mask. they slide around easily so I had to be careful as I pressed them down to squeeze out excess water from between the stick-on and the glass (for my new semi-prescription mask I installed a hydrotac lens only on the left lens. I use my left eye for my spg and computer.) - I then dabbed the inside with a towel to remove excess water and let the mask sit for 3 days before diving The stick-on lenses stayed in place and I was able to read my gauges and computer. Have to remember that readers are for things that are less than arms length away. They're not for distance. Using primarily my left eye, I took my time to hold the gauge or computer in line with the reading lens. I recently completed Advanced Open Water Diver training which included mask removal and replace refresher drills (fresh water, in a spring) and 8 open water dives. I also went on a dive trip and had 16 dives in 6 days. While diving, I clear water from my mask regularly. I rinsed my mask many times, soaked it for a couple of hours. I even sprayed it out with a hose a couple of times - being careful not to blast the stick-on lens directly. That's 24 dives, etc. and the lens is still in place.

Lenses float away and disappear w/no recourse
Installed according to the directions provided. I let lenses set for 3 days before using (instructions recommended at least 24 hours.) They appeared to have mounted securely to my dive mask, but with first rinse, they floated out and I to the river I was planning on diving. Still had to make the dives, but could see my gauges clearly. I tried to request a replacement pair, but Amazon/seller states I need to return the defective/lost pair. Since they're somewhere in the river, looks like I am S.O.L. for a replacement pair of lenses or a refund. I'm looking elsewhere, so I appear to have no choice.

Great “cheaters” for your dive mask
I was on a dive in October and a fellow farsighted diver recommended these “stick-on” cheaters for my mask to make reading my computer and gauge easier. I had no trouble installing these. I was a bit nervous on my first dive that they'd wash right off, but they stuck tight and have on another 12 dives so far. It's easy to see the small print now. Thanks! The only drawback is my dive guides sometimes think I’ve got water in my mask and can't clear it. Update on 5/24/2025: today while diving one of these came unstuck while diving.

Need diopters for your dive mask? These seem to work well & stay put.
UPDATE: Some reviewers have said that these lenses did not stay put. I've now had 12 dives with them, they're still firmly in place after multiple mask washes, multiple (and intentional) mask floodings to see if I'd lose one or both. Neither lens has moved. It may be that after installing them as directed I waited several weeks to give them time to stick, but I'm not sure. My only gripe is that these are on the smallish size so I have to tilt my head way back, or raise my gauges up quite high, to get things in focus. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have crummy eyesight up close, and now that I'm returning to SCUBA I needed diopters to see my gauges and dive computer. I didn't want to pay for prescription lenses, at least not yet, so I tried these. The instructions are clear. These are supposed to be applied with the concave side down, but it was a bit hard to tell which side that was because the curvature is so slight. I put these on as directed after cleaning the inside of the mask. It was fairly easy to "milk" the water from under the diopters but no matter how hard I tried a tiny corner of one of the lenses would not stick down. Hope that's not going to cause problems down the line. I've let these sit to dry for several weeks after putting them on, a dive trip is coming in a few weeks, and if one or both of these fall off I'll be back with an update and modify my overall rating accordingly.

Didn't stick for long
I liked this product for a while. I bought these for our weeklong dive trip to Belize. I did take the time at home and put them on my mask due to the long drying period (24 hours). The first 3 days were great and the functioned as expected. At the last dive on day three the left lens fell out. I tried to reapply it but with only 12 hours to dry it came off on the first rinse. Sometime on the 4th day the right lens fell out and I lost that one. Since we only do weeklong dive trips to salt water, I will investigate other brands to see if any work better than these.

Helps to SEE underwater!
These work very well. Finished a week of snorkeling and diving in Belize and the held up very well. I even used a different magnification for long distance.

Defective out of box
Unfortunately I waited until after the return window to open the box. One of the lenses is warped and has what almost seems like a melt mark on it, in addition to a milky residue in places. Won’t rest flat on the inside of my mask at all. The other one rests flat, but also seems to have a bit of milky residue. I’m glad I purchased a bifocal mask as a backup, because it doesn’t look like these will cut it.

I need reading glasses and can’t read my five equipment or smart watch while swimming so I needed something like this. Previous negative reviews had me nervous but I didn’t have any problems getting the lenses to stick to my mask. That said, the packaging suggests that the lenses should be placed at the bottom of the mask. I am not cross eyed but I found it MUCH easier to read my gear when I positioned them towards the middle of the mask. The lenses can be easily taken off and transferred to another mask so it’s unlike that I would need them in the future but if I did, I would definitely buy these. I can finally see things close up!
