Casio Men's G-Shock MTGM900DA-8CR Tough Solar Atomic Stainless Steel Sport Watch, Silver, MTGM900DA-8CR

This meets my need for a every day watch I like to wear my watch all day and night, so it needs to be well built and robust. Setup is easy, just set city and place on window to get full charge and it will set time automatically over night. Positive LED display easy to read even without my glasses. After be a day I set the auto light. Takes no time to get the hang of reading the display without the auto light coming on and to come on in the dark when you bring you arm all the way up to your face. I plan on treating my self to getting a top of the range G-Shock in a year or two, I hope to have this as my Evey day watch until then and will probably still continue to use it after I get my upgrade Straps a good size, I had to take off 3 links to fit. Only negative for me date is month date format. MM-DD Buttons easy to use and are sunk in to case to protect it. Glass face also sunk int case for added protection. Don't think they are in production anymore, but being solor powered, this is an ideal second watch the will always be ready to use as long as it's keep in the light.

I had my eye on this one after I regrettably sold my similarly designed G510 last year. I owned that watch for nearly 20 years and it never missed a beat. Apparently this MTG has also been in production for 20 years but had a refresh with a newer module about 7 years ago. It's a fairly chunky watch at 46mm across and 16mm thick but these stainless steel bracelet versions wear small and are so comfortable on wrist. Some great features with multiband 6 and tough solar plus a clean display with large numbers and the usual stopwatch, timer alarms etc. The links between the case and bracelet look a bit mismatched in photos but are okay in the flesh. Most people like the squares but for me this is much better watch with the same features as a gw5610 and cheaper as well. One bad point. This model doesn't appear to have ever been released in the UK so Amazon US was the only option. For some reason budget Gshocks in the US come in flimsy cardboard boxes and it was shipped in a plastic bag for the 4000 mile trip. Unsurprisingly it arrived a bit battered but better than others I've had. Fortunately it's a gshock so can withstand abuse but I would be hesitant to order a conventional watch from the US. Overall this is a great digital watch that comes highly recommended. I'm not sure how much longer these will be produced so grab one while you can.

Excellent choice. Bought to replace an almost identical older version (c2009) which is still working well, but only picks up a USA radio time check.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Excellent G Shock wristwatch to upgrade from previous Casio Waveceptors. Impressive quality, tough construction and great functionality for time keeping. This is an import from Amazon.com which was despatched from USA in a flimsy envelope with partially printed address label. Luckily, our local postman recognised my last name so they could deliver, otherwise they would have returned it! 5th star lost for this silliness...

I am finicky when it comes to watches. This fits the bill nicely. The strap is big but had some links removed and fits comfortably now. The display is easy to read. The buttons are easy to operate which isn't always the case. The functions are listed in the main description but are very thorough. Lots of alarms including a snooze and hourly chime. The countdown timer is quite useful as is the dual time. The backlight bathes the entire display in a green for clarity. Add the fact that it's solar powered and updated by the nearest atomic clock and it's pretty much perfect. Looks good too.

Watch turned up with no display as the battery had completely run down flat. Tried leaving it under bright light for several hours, only to find the display had faded again within days. The watch had obviously been stored in its box for a very long time without light and the battery had run down to the point of no return. Don't waste your money on this product.

Acheté et livraison par VirVenture... Sur ce site. Je précise car cela a son importance vu qu'il on était réellement parfait. Pendant mon achat le prix a baissé passant de 160€ a 114.9€ de quoi etre bien déçu, ce vendeur plus haut sité a fait remboursement des sommes de differences. Je lui ai indiqué que la montre devait etre bien mise dans ma boite a lettre et pas déposé dehors... Tout a été fait de maniere irréprochable ! Parfait. Concernant la montre, j'ai une g shock solaire elle est toujours en parfait etat et fonction tres bien malgres le poids des ans quel robustesse les casio c'est dingue. Cela dit j'ai regretté d'avoir un model certe qui me plait mais avec un full resine qui manque de premium a mon goût... Surtout que la montre ne meurera jamais donc envie de me faire plaisir avec une casio solaire a nouveau mais plus premium... Pas dans les fonctions inutil compas. Altimètre... Etc.. Juste une montre a la sauce casio... Numerique avec alarmes eclairage auto, radio pilote, compte a rebours 1h, chrono 1/100eme, bip a chaque heure qui est indispensable pour moi. Le poids ce fait sentir, on a une impression steel tres evidente, la tenue reclame un reglage du bracelet et après ca on l'oublirait presque.. Nul besoin d'un poigné de culturiste pour porter avec élégance cette magnique montre, elle est de la famille g shock mais respectueuse des proportions standard. Cette montre est un vrai bijou, deja observé dans des longévité superieur a 20ans et aucun même apres tous ce temps n'a idee du temps restant avant qu'elle rende l'ame, je pense que ce sera ma derniere montre, et j'en suis ravi. les goûts et les couleurs c'est chacun son truc, donc je parle évidemment que pour moi... La qualité et la beauté de cette montre valait que je la paies 160€ et le hazard me la fait avoir a 114€... Un must de la marque casio a ne pas manquer, elle est superbe et je la recommande même a bien plus cher que 160€ car bien plus cher ailleur! Sinon le dit vendeur est parfait. _----_--------------------------_- Nous sommes actuellement en mai 2024 et cette montre est toujours une merveille.

Great solar watch, with automatic time setting(multiband 6), the most efficient indiglo lighting there is and it works great. The small details that needs to be said is that it is not a small watch, not huge either, still the glass size is very regular size for this type of watch, but it is thicker than the cheaper tough solar resin watches I own and it is also heavier than your average watch, but it looks and feels alot more high class then any resin sport watch. Take note also that the case is not 100% stainless, the finish is very well done and shiny and metal like but the lighter color where the band connects to the casing is not stainless, it's something else(synthetic) very resistant and still looks great. Last thing, the buttons are not outer exposed but more inserted and protected by the casing so there is no chance to accidentally press a button with any tight whrist movements, but if you got big fingers, you'll have to use the tip, to push the button all the way down which is not as easy as when the button are clearly outer exposed of the casing. Not a big issue because it still handles great, but it needed to be said ! Now I own 6 casio watches it is very stylish for a digital watch, a bit thick and heavy in comparison to slickier casio stainless steel watches, not as sporty as resin but more classy, it won't go unnoticed and I don't regret my purchase at all.
