Q: what type of latex are the layers? Dunlop? Talaway?

All of the foam used in this mattress is Dunlop process latex foam. We use the dunlop process because we believe dunlop process foam works better for more people. Some people do have a preference for Talalay process foam, but many do not like the "bouncy" feel of talalay foam. While Dunlop foam is springy, it is not "bouncy" like talalay foam, and in our experience, works better for more people.

Q: Does this mattress need to be rotated?

I have slept on latex mattresses all my life. It is not true that they do not sag. It depends on the sleep position, the firmness, the construction, the weight of the sleep, and so on. This one can't be flipped unless you want to completely change the feel of the mattress. There is at least one company which allows you to design exactly the firmness you want, selling layers of soft, medium, firm, extra firm, which you can rearrange if you want to. I recently purchase a new extra firm layer for my 12 year old mattress because the top layer was sagging at the edges...I sleep at the edge.

Q: If sitting on the side of the twin mattresses, will it support you, or do you feel you are sliding off?

I have the full size mattress on an IKEA frame. I do not slide off. I purchased this bed to relieve back pain from surgery. I love this bed, I've never slept better.
