Wonderful collection of Norah's signature knits
A wonderful collection of unique and timeless knits. Beautiful unusual cabled garments guaranteed to draw compliments, Good charts and well explained patterns with some photo tutorials. A nice touch is that modern equivalents are given for yarn when the pattern has come from the archive. A knitting book worthy of adding to your treasured pattern collection.

Amazingly different
Knitted the pattern on the front of the book, it is knitted in hexagons which I decided to knit each one individually and then sew together, I knitted the medium size one and as I am size 12 it turned out the loose fitting it promised in the book though much bigger than the size it said as 39 inches but this may have been correct as it did not say if this was the finished size. I did the tension square as recommended and went down 3 sizes of knitting pin. In total I used 530gms of Rowan Hemp Tweed which is a double knitting wool, but you may need more depending on your tension and is just to give an idea of the amount of yarn needed in an alternative yarn. This is a fabulous top and having knitted it once I could easily knit it again and look forward to doing just that. well worth the money for the book as it has many great patterns in it. Arrived very quickly. I have now knitted a second bolero using Cygnet pure wool double knitting wool and size 8/4mm needles and this one turned out the correct size and used 10x50gm balls and I am now starting on my third one using Hayfield pure wool dk. I love this pattern so much I may knit one in every colour I can find.

Beautiful book
This book has so many beautiful patterns. Lots of choices though they are chart knitting I am inspired to give it a go. I would not say it is a book for a beginner but would say a beginner could be encouraged to try to gain enough knowledge to try them.

Great book, lovely paterns
I really like this book, it is a hard back, good pictures of the finished item. The sizes are American and the suggested yarn also, but it is easy to convert to UK as there is the information to do this at the back of the book. Overall I love the patterns, so a great book.
