Works great and is super easy to use! It doesn’t have that harsh hair dye smell—in fact, the scent is mild and smell like shampoo. I didn’t experience any staining on my skin, counter, sink, or shower, though I still wore gloves just in case, since fingernails are porous. I have sensitive skin and was expecting some irritation or itching on my scalp, but I had no issues at all.The product works quickly—I just apply it, pop on a shower cap, wait 15 minutes before jumping into the shower then wash as usual with shampoo and conditioner. The black color is very dark at first but settles into a soft, natural-looking black after about a week. My hair doesn’t feel dry or damaged afterward.The bottle is a good size and lasts quite a while. I’ve been using it for a few months now, touching up my roots every three weeks, and I still have enough left for several more applications. Definitely a great value and a product I’ll continue using.

Product does not burn like dye. It's best to leave on a bit longer than the instructions say for intensity of color. Works better and lasts longer than the permanent dye. I've bought this product more than twice already. It's definitely my go to. Definitely gives my hair lots a shine.

I usually get a different brand of this product but wanted to save some money. The product itself is great! It covers my gray hair and I only have to refresh about once every two week. The problem with this brand is that it doesn't smell as herbal as the other ones I have tried. This one has a cough syrup and fart smell. When I have finished with this product I won't buy it again based on the smell. BUT based on how well it works and how beautiful my hair is at finish, it's absolutely worth it. If you want to save money but get the same product as the competition and don't care about the smell, then do it. The product itself is worth it. It's not so horrible that I'm not finishing the bottle ..... so take that as you will.

I usually wash my hair weekly, with Aussie total moisture, then it had been maybe 4-5 days no wash (3a-3b curly hair) when I tried this. I did 4 sections, maybe about 3-4 pumps per section, adding more if I felt it wasn’t saturated enough on my scalp, making sure to get a good lather and mix the product (the liquids are separated in the bottle so you have to combine them after pumping) and left it for about 30 min, covered. I’m obsessed. 😍 This was super easy and thankfully it came with gloves and a plastic bib. The hair cap was way too small though, I used a store bag. I will touch up on this because there are some pieces underneath I feel like aren’t dark enough, but overall I love how easy this was. I haven’t washed my hair yet so I’m not sure how long it’ll last, but at the very least it definitely effectively dyes.

I was skeptical, in buying this, but finally did and am very pleased. It worked great on the first time. It’s been 2 weeks haven’t washed my hair yet and no grays, not even on the edges. Used on my eyebrows as well. Very happy with this product. It does not take much.

First off this stuff STINKS BAD. It smells like cat pee and mildew. The gloves that came with it were on but there were some weird scrap pieces of plastic inside the bags with the gloves so that was a quality control issue. The only instructions are on the box so if you throw it away, there's nothing written on the bottle. When you squeeze the shampoo out onto your hand and rub it together it does not create a foam like the box says it should. The color is all right, dark brown, pretty rich and colorful. It's fairly shiny but did not cover all my gray hair. I don't know how the color will hold up to washing every day but we will find out. The smell of this stuff alone is enough to make me not purchase it again.

Pros:1. You can pump as much as or as little as you need compared to other at-home hair dying products that once you mix A and B, the whole mix needs to be used as soon as possible.2. The color stays for a month as least. For new white baby hair or roots growing out, you can just use a toothbrush to apply a small amount to the regions that you need.3. Easy to use and not messy. It is applied on dry hair and no need to the point of dripping everywhere.4. It takes a shorter time to effectively dye (~20 min) than most at-home hair dying products.5. I am used to Chinese herbal stuff and find it smells quite good.6. My hair feels softer after use, even without hair conditioner.7. Luckily, I am not allergic to this product. Must do an allergy test before you use.Cons:1. It stains skin, so wear disposable gloves, a layer of Vaseline on your face, ears, back of your neck, as well as a disposable shirt before you apply it. Wear a disposable shower cap when you are waiting for it to work.2. It stains vinyl tile and could be messy. Place a few pieces of newspaper on the floor before use, or just use it in the bathtub/shower.
