Good rug for fireplace.
This rug is larger than normal. That is exactly why I bought it!

Not Fire resistant !
Pros: this mat is cuteCons: it’s thin, flimsy and definitely not fire or heat resistant.We had an ember fall out of our fireplace and it burned a hole straight through to our floor within 20 seconds.

Good gear
Fits perfectly under our hot tent stove. Had the stove burning almost cherry red in some Winter camp trips. No damage to the rug, or the tent floor. Does exactly what it says it will do, and looks nice in the tent, too.

Not very fire resistant
The rug is fire resistant, or ember resistant, for about 1.5 seconds before the ember melts through to the floor.

Melted a hole in the rug!
The size of this rug was perfect for our needs and I liked the design. When an ember fell onto the rug it burned and left a hole! This is not what I expected. Very disappointed It's also not slip resistant!
