Wonderful product!! I had been using another brand of wooden canvas for many years & had turned to my local carpenter as I wanted a smoother, less assorbant product but as Xmas approached he was too busy so I started hunting online & I came across 'daveliou'! I couldn't be happier! Smooth finish, edges neatly cut, & no nasty glue odour... They can be used front to back as the beech wood finish is present on both sides, and the back, a nice surprise, is perfect for 'shadow box' painting /crafts. My new collection will be exhibited on daveliou wood! Thanks guys.

Good support to prepare with two to three layers of gesso and then sand paper it. Useful for professional artists.

Firstly I’ll say I’m pleased with the actual wooden blocks, they’re just what I wanted.However I was a little worried when I saw that ‘birch’ was spelt wrong on the front of the box.. hahahaBut still, good product (just sort the packaging lol)

A couple had slightly imperfect surfaces. The laminate was stripping from the surface. Not a major problem if you're prepared to do a little surface filling. Otherwise as decribed.

Great for doing mixed media work on or alternatively working on watercolour paper first and sticking this onto the panel, works well either way.
