Great
These are really good quality shiitake mushrooms. I love that they come in a jar, as a lot of the dried mushrooms come in a bag that is not Ziploced. These are huge, and once they are hydrated, they are very meaty and have a great Unami flavor. I like adding these to my rice dishes, and making sure that I also add the water that they hydrated into my rice pot as well to add more flavor.

Great product!
As someone who uses mushrooms sparingly, I really appreciate these dehydrated shiitake mushrooms! I find that I waste mushrooms a lot, as I only cook for myself and can't seem to finish a package of mushrooms without several going bad. I don't have this problem with this product. The dehydrated mushrooms don't go back since they are preserved. I can just use them as I need them! The mushrooms came in whole without any damage. They are in a medium-sized jar. I put them in soup, so they rehydrated themselves while cooking. I'm sure I could rehydrate them individually with water or chicken broth if I wanted to use them in a different dish. They tasted great, and I doubt anyone would realize they were dehydrated instead of fresh. I sure couldn't tell! Also, I live in a very rural area. Shiitake mushrooms are not an option at my small grocery store. I'm sure I could drive to a Walmart nearby, but I prefer to shop in small stores. Now I can have shiitake mushrooms as an option in my Asian foods. This product is great for people who only need a small amount of mushrooms at a time, and for those in rural areas who do not have access to international foods. Highly recommend!

Delicious and packaged to prevent squashing
These have been a wonderful find. We don't eat mushrooms regularly enough to keep them in on hand, so having an option like this is fantastic. I've used them in soups, letting them rehydrate in the broth. They are delicious and I love having that option to put a few in dishes without having to plan the grocery store visit beforehand. They come in a cylindrical container, which provides protection from crushing and also helps each mushroom remain perfect from damage by friction.

Wonderful. Rehydrate better than others I've received. Delicious mild flavor.
I’ve previously ordered dehydrated Shiitake Mushroom pieces that were clearly nothing but stems because no matter how much or in how hot of water you soaked them, they were always hard and rubbery. These are much better. While a dehydrated Shiitake Mushroom is going to have a certain amount of resistance compared to a fresh bella from the store, these actually soften up nicely. The stem part is the toughest part (as is true with all mushrooms), but as these are whole mushrooms, you get everything, so the texture is balanced accordingly. In the future, I’ll either go whole or powdered, no pieces. If you want thin slices, I’d go with the recommendation and slice after rehydrating, though they are soft enough that you can cut them before. They expand on rehydrating, though, so the thin slices you cut before will grow – wait to cut these. I’ve tried these in chicken and noodles, pasta, and a couple of other things and I’ve been very pleased. The Shiitake Mushroom flavor is mild, earthy, and clean. Tonight they are going into a rice dish. I’ll happily use all of these. Very good.

Seems to be good.
My normal go to dried shiitake mushrooms are from Japan. I trust Japanese products for their quality, purity, and safety. However, I do often have a hard time sourcing Japanese dried shiitakes, so I sometimes use Dynasty. And, they are good, but I can't be sure about whether there is any heavy metal adulteration. So, I decided to try these with some hesitation. The mushrooms came in a nice plastic container / jar. They were good quality whole shiitakes. I hydrated several in hot water, and I added them to my ramen. It was good. I liked the texture and flavor. I squeezed out all of the soaked up water by hand before tossing them into my ramen broth, and they soaked up some of the broth and became really flavorful.Definitely recommend giving this brand a try.

Yummy!
I just make Korean mushroom natto with these and I'm glad I made a double batch - so GOOD!My recipe was to re-hydrate them in water for 30 min, slice them, add spices, stirfry and finish with a bit of oil. They came out with a great texture and a good umami flavor.

Great convenient way to get close to fresh mushrooms
I'm wondering why I've never tried dried mushrooms before. This is a fantastic method for me to have premium mushrooms when and in the quantity I need. The mushrooms are in good condition. Each one of them is lovely and complete. They puff up rapidly and are ready to use. With confidence, I suggest this product. I like how quick and easy it is to have shiitake mushrooms ready for dinner. It simplifies the process of storing and using a lot easier.

Great for giving you the umami you want
These shiitake mushrooms can give you lots of umami in your soup or rice dishes. Simply leave the dried mushrooms in water overnight and in the morning you'll have plump mushrooms which have released their umami flavor into the water. You can use that umami water to cook soup with or to even cook your rice with to give you a great base flavor for mixed rice. As they're dried they'll last a while in your cabinet until you're ready to use them.
