Dyson Hot+Cool™ AM09 Jet Focus heater and fan

I've had this unit for less than a month and used heater and fan functions. I love is how the heater disburses the heat. I don't have to be right next to the unit to feel the heat, like most space heaters. The noise level is nice. Obviously will get louder when turn up the speed however it's a big improvement from traditional space heaters. Was surprised how cool the air was when using the fan. There are several comments about not feeling enough air movement when using the fan. If a person wants to feel a large volume of air blowing, you won't get that from this product. It doesn't blow air like a standard bladed fan. However, it does provide a nice air flow if a person wants air movement without blowing stuff around the room. I haven't had any issues with a clicking noise while unit is isolating. I've looked at these in stores, however, cannot get a full understanding how the air flow feels. I'm using in home office therefore not a large room. Was skeptical and didn't understand the hoopla especially with the price tag. I used a gift card to purchase and have been happy enough to purchase another unit.

So I was hesitant to purchase this heater/fan initially because of the high price tag but I will say that now that we have it in the house we are absolutely loving it. It is ideally suited for small spaces so we use it to keep our daughters’ bedroom warm during colder months. It does this job exceptionally well- the room stays perfectly comfortable without fear of overheating the girls due to the built in thermostat and the ability to adjust the fan power at a comfortably low setting. This is true for the cooling fan as well. Other fans we’ve used are loud and overpowering and need to be placed in front of a well ventilated area to push cold air out. The intensity of the fans make it too cold to keep on all night. Not so with this fan - again somehow this fan manages to have just the perfect settings so you can adjust it to be cool enough but not overpowering. And we can stick it in front of a wall and it still manages to push cold air out. It is also very safe because unlike other space heaters it does not get hot so you don’t have to worry about little ones burning themselves if they touch it. The things to consider about this unit are the following : it is not well suited for larger spaces like a large open living room- while it will heat the space it will not do it sufficiently enough to feel toasty warm like a larger unit would. It also can not be used as an air conditioning unit for larger spaces - the fan is very effective and does a good job of cooling you in a small space but it does not have a high intensity cooling system like AC units do. Essentially if you have a small space that you need to heat and cool comfortably then this will work well for you. I would say it is best used to heat or cool a child’s room because it is safe, quiet and not overly intense so you never have to worry that your child is too hot or too cold at night while they sleep. That being said as much as we love the unit (and it is really an exceptionally well made and high quality product) we did get it on sale and I’m not sure that we would have bought it at full price, as it is quite expensive for just being a simple fan and heater.

This is the best most economical fan, we use it everyday. Heat in winter fan in summer. Very good quality and a good price here

I’ve had this thing for a few months now and I can say with a 150% certainty YOU DO NOT NEED THIS. It feels CHEAP it’s a Dyson for crying out loud why does it feel like it’s made of cheap plastic UGHHHHH It’s loud enough to be a white noise machine which is a win or lose for certain people BUT for essentially $500!! Be so fr waste of money It doesn’t actually cool anything it just blows air at the highest setting, I’m disappointed, I’m still HOT, AND I’m out of $500 😭. Guys I'm just a girl that really wanted a cute fancy fan and this was not it. The only good things is that it has a remote control but other than that it did absolutely nothing to make my room feel more comfortable especially on the cold setting at the highest rate. 💀

Its ok. Not worth 350 bucks. Typical Dyson design. The heat will heat a small room if left in there with the door closed. Any further than 3 feet away and it just feels like cold air blowing. Definitely not a for patio or garage or shed. I would recommend it for a home office. That's about it. It is super quiet and won't burn anything because the outside doesn't get hot. The cool side is a typical Dyson fan. Unless you don't care about $ and absolutely have to have the Best name brand I would get a decent space heater and a portable ac, both for about the same price as this.

Only using the "HOT" heater feature at present and it's working as designed. It's being used in Southern Pines, N.C. to keep us warm when needed.

This is an amazing heater and fan! It heats and cools a big area of my house and it was easy to set up and use. It comes with a small remote that you can use with many settings on it, one to expand the air and one to point directly at you. It’s very quiet and you really cannot get it when you’re in another room and it is very light weight. I would highly recommend!
