I almost didn't buy these because they're listed for bigger birds. But they're fine for conures, because the plastic panels come off with a decent amount of effort - that engages them, because my conures love taking them apart. No treat required! They like chewing on the panels, though, which is why this gets 4 stars and not 5: I don't think it was as intended for this, and while in a few hours of watching them use these I haven't seen a plastic bit taken off... it is possible, so you MUST watch them. But for me, they're great because I like toys I can sort of do with them. They take the panels off, I put them back on, we're playing together. My conure widget is in the picture. My other, Noble, mostly likes chewing on the panels Widget takes off and throws.They do like throwing the balls off their cage, and they like it when I use them as maracas.

My bird was very skeptical of these balls at first but then again he is of any new item placed in his cage. He got used to them and he plays with them on the bottom of his cage now.The only drawback with these are the bright colors. My brother's children (6, 5, 1.5, and .5) are fascinated with the bird and have tried sticking their hands in his cage. The 1.5 year old has been bitten once now by the African grey. These balls that have bells in them and are brightly colored have only attracted her more.I'm not saying that there is an issue with these toys, just warning that children may be drawn to putting theri hands in the cage more with these brightly colored toys on the bottom.

These balls are MUCH bigger than the picture suggests. I had hoped to get a toy that my bird could use as a foot toy, but he can't hold it.edit: Boy, was I wrong. These balls are way bigger than I expected, and they are almost as big as my conure... but holy cow, does he ever love them. I leave them on top of his cage for outside play. He plays with them through the ceiling of his cage when he is inside. When he is outside, he uses his beak to fling them in the air, he throws them off the cage, he shakes them, he just loves them. He even tries to feed them.

I thought it would be a great toy for my parakeets. However it was too big. I gave them to a bigger bird owner.

My Grey loved these but they didn't last long at all.

Gave them to my umbrella cockatoos and they didn't last more than a few minutes I thought they'd be way more durable as the listing says for bigger birds.
