Awesome Green Chiles!
These are easily the best canned green chiles I’ve ever had. You can tell that they’re actually roasted. It doesn’t say if they Hatch, Pueblo or Anahiem, but they’re delicious!

cans feel sturdy and stack well, doesnt feel like weak container/peel lid, packed to brim
I use a lot of Goya products. Though I will state that I like the products not their politics. One thing I notice which keeps me buying is that the cans tend to be filled with actual product and not water. I find this true with their canned lentils and canned beans (especially their organics). Love any of their spice packets as well.Tins feel sturdy. The aluminum doesn't yet feel cheap like some brands have become. Pull back tab seems firmly in place. Doesn't look/feel like they will breach easily. Cans stack very well. I find that they stack well with their same sized tins of tomato sauce. As a prepper concerned with their own bottom line, I look for details such as this. I want the most bang for my buck, and I want a can (storage vessel) that can withstand time and stacked storage. If they change a thing, I will have no problem looking elsewhere. I am not brand loyal, despite my cupboards looking otherwise.I grabbed these green chilis as they are a pantry staple in my house. They add that little extra "something" to a wide variety of dishes. I chose this because at the time of purchase it was on sale and it was also available as a subscribe and save (combo of both brought it down to $18). At time of review the price shot way up ($32), and is now outside of my budget comfort zone (I try to find it for around $1 when purchased in bulk). But since I dont rate on price (we can all see the price before ordering, we all have different needs and preference, and prices fluctuate from day to day), I will just say that this is so far a very good product from a long time (mostly trusted) company.

Smaller cans for smaller recipes
These great peppers are getting really hard to find so when you can get them stock up! Great for casseroles and sauces and even to spike your recipes with a mild pepper flavor!

Very good flavor
These chiles have the best flavor I have found. I had been buying Hatch brand (which is also very good) but these are better, and I like the larger-size can. The one minor downside is that these cans contain more water than I'm accustomed to.

Less water, good consistency
Some other roasted chilis seem like 1/3rd water I have to drain away.In the Goya there is much less liquid, and the liquid is VERY THICK.The first few cans I tried to drain them, but now just dump the entire can into the dish.Works well in chili cheese cornbread, or as an addition to soups/stews/chili.America's Test Kitchen said these were spicier than other brands, but I don't find them any spicier at all.

disappointed by quickly approaching BEST IF USED BY date
This is my preferred brand of diced green chiles but I can't always find the 7oz size in stores. I ordered a whole case expecting to be able to use them over the next year at the very least. I was very dissappointed that I only had 3 months until the "BEST IF USED BY" date of SEP 24, 2020.
