Q: I want to add an in line fuse to this camera. What would be the right size fuse in amps?

The wire guage on this camera is very small, and the draw on the camera is certainly very low (especially because it does not have IR LEDs). Also, the reverse light/taillight circuits are already fuse protected and with much beefier wire. Considering the draw on this is probably ~500ma, you might want a 1.5A fuse, although because of the thin wire, this may or may not exceed the current capacity of the wire, thus defeating the purpose. If you are dead set on fusing this I would maybe start at 500ma and be prepared to move up to 1A? But fusing it is not needed.

The car cam connector is 4 pin.

Hello, friend! Thank you for your inquiry. The back up camera that outputs an analog video signal. If your factory navigation screen system supports analog signal input, the car rear view camera can be installed to vehicle with factory navigation screen with no back up camera.

Q: I cut the white wire, powered it up...and have guidelines from my display and the camera. any tips to fix?

Try reattaching the white wire (if you have enough of it left, strip both ends, twist, optionally solder, and tape it). Mine did the same thing-- the wires were reversed from the instructions. Cutting the green wire got rid of the lines.
