Looney Tunes Collectors Choice: V4 (BD)

This is the strongest selection since Volume 1! Many of these are solid 'A' cartoons which have, inexplicably, not been collected before. Along Came Daffy, Muscle Tussle, one of the earliest Sylvesters, two prime Foghorn Leghorns, Double or Mutton, a couple of toons that have been corrected from their original releases and many more great entries. There are a couple of less-funny 30s cartoons but they look good.The only worrying "junk" toon is The Road to Andalay, which was a cut-rate production from the mid-60s after the WB theatrical animation dept had been shut down. It's cheap-looking and poorly recycles Coyote/Roadrunner scenarios with Sylvester and Speedy. Hopefully we won't see any more of those.Needless to say, the visuals are sharp and clear and the colors are vibrant.All-in-all, a fantastic set! Well worth the purchase!

Another great set! Features 25 cartoons never released on Blu-ray. Plus 2 bonus cartoons that were previously cropped on the “Superstars” sets, now for the first time in HD. 3 cartoons were specifically remastered for this set, with one being “Peck Up Your Troubles.” This one in particular was restored from the Original Negatives, and it’s the best it’s ever looked in decades. Highly recommended for Looney Tunes fans. The more these sets are bought, the more Looney Tunes will be restored on Blu-ray.
