Ambassador Organics Shade Grown Espresso Dark Ground Decaf, 12-Ounce

Wasn't as great as I expected. I first tasted a different brand of biodynamic coffee and loved it but couldn't find it online so I bought this. I drink it, but when I took it to my aunt & uncle's house for the holidays and left it there, I didn't miss it.

It's average dark roasted coffee, it doesn't taste like espresso. However, it is organic which is very hard to find among espresso choices.

expensive for what it is. think Trader Joe's organic decaf french roast to be better tasting and a much better bargain.

The BD folks feel like Steiner's work will save modern AG - I think for a growing population modern ag is required. Organics is much like modern ag, just less of it and more soul. I buy Biodynamic to support and try too understand it.

I tried this coffee in the hope it would be a good organic choice. I was very disappointed. When I opened the bag I took a good whiff to get the first aroma. I do this because, to me, the aroma of a coffee is just as important as the flavor and color. It did not smell very good. I made a pot and smelled it as it was brewing. It was not any better. Finally, I make a cup and drank it. Very disappointing and unsatisfying. I like a light roasted coffee, but, it must have the right color, smell, and flavor it be enjoyed.

ORGANIC anything is the rage lately. I use this on the "Subscribe & Save" program to blend with less expensive French Roasts.The results are better than average daily grinds. I also gift co-workers once a month with one of the two bags I buy.

This was a shot in the dark. I normally wouldn't buy coffee untasted. But this product has most of the characteristics I was looking for in a coffee outside of flavor. So I tried it. I make both espresso and immersion-brewed coffee. These beans were unsatisfactory for both. The resulting brews lacked body and tasted burnt, almost stale, without any of the richness or complexity of a good dark roast. I really couldn't discern any particular good flavor notes.

Purchased thinking this would be great for espresso given the title. Flavor and scent was unappealing to say the least. Quite a thick grain for espresso, so first few I made were not bold enough. Decided to grind it finer, the espresso was stronger, but the taste was still not good. Ended up throwing out the first bag and giving away the unopened bag. Just didn't appeal to the palates in my household unfortunately.
