Very happy with the results!
Very impressed! I’ve used some MusicNomad products in the past and they are great but this system is fantastic! Everything is well thought out and efficient. It still takes a bit of time but faster than other methods. The outcome is gorgeous. In my pic you can see a fret as it came from Squier on the right, and a fret that I just finished polishing with this system on the left. Beautiful! You will probably need to replace these fairly often if you are regularly doing this kind of work, but for once in awhile kind of work this is excellent! Great value for the money. Would recommend!

Makes fret polishing easy
Only 4 grits to polish frets. Like the old sharkskin from Stewmac. Compared to the multiple grits of sandpaper and buff polish at the end, this process is a no brainer. Too easy. Paired with the Nomad crowning file frets look great. I still tape off to be safe but you really don’t have to if you go slow. Great tools all around. The downfall is the pad loops are pricy and use up quickly but the time savings is worth the cost

Works exactly as it says
I really like these. Taking frets from crowning to high polish is super easy. The only downside is that you need to buy more sleves when they get worn out but... thats inevitable with almost anything you are doing fretwork with.

Did my first fret re-crown, and THIS polished it off perfectly!
If you're new to minor fret work, this is a must-have! I did a small recrown on one fret of my Les Paul which was slightly high. I had NO experience with such fixes, but YouTube made me believe, and Music Nomad made the right tools! I used their fret crowning tool to take it down to the right height, then finished it off with this great tool. I was amazed how easy it was, and how good of a job it turned out to be! The Music Nomad tools and videos make it almost impossible to mess up. GET THE TOOLS if you want to do your own work and save hundreds from sending it to the shop (who probably use these tools too!). You can do it! Don't be afraid to spend on quality tools - they SAVE you money in the long run! I'll do all my own minor fret work from here on.

Great
Enjoyed this thing. Very simple and better than the stew Mac filing sticks I tried.

Easy to use
Works great, stays on the fret quite well. A second set of abrasives would be a nice addition for the cost...

Bought this for a friend and he is very happy with the ease of use and the way it accommodates the setup of his guitars, combined with the other Nomad tools he uses.

Polished frets easily, no messy compounds required. Simply follow the steps using the 4 different grits and get highly polished frets.

When used as directed, really puts a nice polish on frets. I had spot levelled and recrowned some frets on an acoustic guitar, and using all 4 grits of the micro mesh with the cleverly designed holder produced satisfactory results. I would recommend taping your fretboard first though to avoid marring it; don’t rely on metal fret guards.

I used this product to fix my frets and polish them afterwards. I can't argue with the fact that it does a great job. The 2 handles are brilliant especially the one that has the groove that goes directly on the frets without skidding. What I'm not impressed with is the price of the replacement pads. They are more than half the price of the kit ! I did a complete fret job on one guitar (24 frets, not just the frets but fret tops and bevels as well). I could probably do one more before the pads need replacement. For one that does this often, it can get expensive very quickly. The replacement pads should be no more than $30 OR MusicNomad should ship the kit with two sets of pads at the same price as the present kit of course. Just another thing that baffles me somewhat, I'm not sure why the 12000 grit pad is in the kit at all. I've used it on the bevel ends and the frets themselves after using all the other pads and I'm not sure it does anything. All the other pads are very useful but could 12000 be overdoing it ? Could a pad between pad one (1000 grit) and pad two (3600 grit) be more useful ? I think it would. Or maybe bring the grit of the last pad down to 8000-9000 perhaps ? All in all it's a great kit that does exactly what it should for a price that's hard to justify considering how fast the pads wear out.
