So worth a look.
I confess I didn't want to read this because I'm such a fan of Ally and Lisa's story that I didn't want to deviate from it. After their story ended in book 5 I wasn't interested anymore. But after picking Mercy up and reading it I'm kicking myself for having such a narrow mindset. It's completely worth the read. The art is beyond beautiful as always, and the author again manages to create incredible scenes that span across two pages that manage to capture not just an entire room, but the entire range of emotion and feeling felt in that room at the same time. I know that sounds crazy, but..just check it out. The art does more justice than do my words.Although I'm only primarily interested in the lesbian arc of the story, the 'prequel' regarding Ally and Alan is just too adorable to pass up. It was touched upon in the previous novels but fleshed out here, and Stjepan manages to make their chemistry ooze out of the pages in a way very seldom seen.I know that the printed graphic novels have slightly better artwork than the free online versions, and I wholeheartedly suggest purchasing these to support the author. It's brilliant realistic work so seldom seen in BDSM fiction.Give it a try.

Even better than Sunstone
Stjepan Šejić starts another story arch in the Sunstone world, and does it exceptionally well. If fellow fans will forgive me, I must say that Sunstone, while utterly wonderful, had some rough edges. Those are no longer there: the storytelling is smooth and well-structured, while the characters still feel as genuine as always. (I had my worries about his picking up the old Ally and Alan story, but he does it totally convincingly, and had me both laughing and crying.)I read it in one sitting. Couldn't put it down.

Stjepan Sejic at his (usual) best
When I heard Sunstone 6 would come out soon, I thought, ‘Good. Any excuse to read the first five books again is greatly appreciated.’ So, I read the whole saga, again. I was blown away, again. You know how you can watch movies like Casablanca over and over again? It’s the same with Sunstone. Apart from one detail. Compared to the characters in Sunstone, Bogart and Bergman have the sexual chemistry and energy of a pair of dead whelks. Was this new book as good as the older ones? That’s a bit like comparing two of your favourite songs by your favourite band. Still, I laughed, snorted and grinned as much this time round - and I teared up as much. I loved the characters as much. You will root for them as much as you may have impure thoughts about them... So yes, it’s good. Really, really good. Stjepan Sejic’s art work keeps getting better, it seems - and he’s as good a story slinger as that tall fellow with the Tower thing slings guns.

Funny and accurate BDSM
Like always with sunstone the art work is crisp, and detailed, the story is also funny and engaging. It's a really nice look on how Ally met Alan, and explores Lisa and Cassie's friendship, as well at Lisa first girlfriend. It covers BDSM really well, but would be just as enjoyable by someone not into kink, as it's hilarious. It covers loads of the screw ups done as a uni/collage student, and give subtle hints about the upcoming plot arks.Give it a try. 🙂

Poor Stjepan; he’s building his fan base up to a fevered pitch.
If you think you’re getting just another instalment of the Sunstone series, you’re sorely mistaken. His writing and the way moods are conveyed through the imagery has progressed and the sixth instalment is much more sophisticated than his previous five volumes.Thoroughly enjoyable, very human characters, and a charming story line will absolutely grip you tight.

Another Gem in the Series
Beginning the second arc of the Sunstone story, this book is beautifully illustrated and the story is masterfully told, mixing comedy with real emotional depth and complexity. Just as wonderful as the first five!

Another masterpiece
I've been a Sunstone fan for years and it never ceases to amaze me how beautiful it is. The stories and characters are deep and well though through and the art is just *kisses fingers* gorgeous.

One of the best series ever?
This series has clearly gone under the radar when it comes to recognition within the industry as a whole. Perhaps because of the subject matter. But, it is my firm belief that Sunstone is as accomplished a series of graphic novels as Sandman, Preacher and any of the other series heralded as cutting edge within the medium. The depth of exploration of the characters is simply second to none, the artwork is nothing short of gorgeous and the whole 6 volumes hold together so well as one narrative.I read and have read many hundreds of graphic novels over the years and have never found a series with such strengths, yet understated and under-recognised for the gem it is.I hope that there is more to follow, but if not- thanks for the ride.

Love it!
First things first: I love the "Sejic-Universe". If you loved the story of Ally and Lisa, then you will also like this one. However, you can also read it without knowing the first volumes. The story arc is closed in itself. It is the story of Ally and Alan before Ally met Lisa, and the story of Anne, before the timeline of Ally and Lisa in the first books. What I love about this story arc is, that I laughed even more then with the story of Ally&Lisa. This Volume tells how Ally met Alan and how the two of them start to explore BDSM. All those wonderful little mishaps and awkward moments, shown so charmingly and sweet. Same with Anne and her first love story. I found myself laughing a lot while falling in love with the characters even more (the moment, when she calls her dad to tell him she'll stay overnight with her date (a girl) and dad recommends condoms... :'D). I love the way how Stjepan Sejic can make you laugh about his figures without ridiculing them and how he shows a reality of BDSM that is respectful to all its practitioners. And even, if BDSM is not your cup of tea I think you could still enjoy this comic for the lovely love stories.I can't wait for the remaining volumes. Stjepan, help! :D

Worth picking up!
The art is just as great as the first 5 volumes. There is plenty of humor throughout the book. The story of Anne and Alan was briefly touched on in the first 5 volumes so a little repetition here at times, but it's more fleshed out so it feels new and I didn't mind, especially since you get a better emotional connection with Alan especially. My only negative would be the perspective changes from Alan to Anne and back were a little jarring. The first time we get a perspective change we pull back to Alan, Anne and Lisa sitting around and we get a verbal hand off before we dive back in. From there on out it switches without this hand off, the first time this happened I had to flip back and forth between the pages a couple of times and even wondered if i was missing some pages.Overall an excellent addition to the Sunstone world and I'm looking forward to the rest of Anne and Alan's story.P.S. Looking forward to that new Calendar as well!!!

Great start to the second arc!
Stjepan nailed another one! He has captured the soul of some deviant relationships in a classy, identifiable way. He evokes feelings for fictional characters through incredible artwork and deep writing. The characters have identifiable flaws, which help the reader to cry when things go wrong, and cheer when they succeed. Even after the first 5 books, knowing how some things relate, I found this to be easily stand alone, without rehashing everything already revealed.Great work Stjepan! Can't wait for vol 7!
