Super kit at a great price
The kit came yesterday and didn't disappoint, it is a cracking kit that I will enjoy constructing , I can't believe that you can get a kit like this for under £25 ... It is being classed with the toys but it is far from a toy and I wouldn't buy it for a child unless they are familiar with model making... The ship is grey and will require Paint and glue to make the model which are not included...all in all in my opinion the ship is a bargain

A frustrating model to build
I sometimes think model manufacturers over do the detail, or at least the small parts that could have easily been part of the larger moulding, and this is a classic case. As a modeller of more years than I would care to admit I love detail, but, overdoing tiny pieces that add nothing to the experience when they could of been part of the bigger part is not fun its just tedious....and often ruins the overall effect. Lots of flash, poor fitting parts and impossibly fitting parts, the masts are a prime example. Not only are the top parts of the mast ridiculously delicate they won't support rigging at any amount of tension without bending. I'm still working on a solution to that.Be prepared to use a lot of filler and in some cases a bit of brute force, definitely not a model for beginners or even intermediary level modellers.I've posted pictures of work in progress, but in all honestly not a model I particularly enjoyed building. I've said it before, you get what you pay for....long live Tamiya
