This thing is pretty much as flattering as a poncho can be. It's actually really cute. This is not plastic fabric - it will not be waterproof. However, it is water resistant (as advertised) and it will withstand the sort of rain that comes with a Pacific Northwest fall and winter.The hood is great! It's big enough to fully protect my face from the rain.

Exactly as described! I didn't heed the advice of another reviewer to order a size smaller; I should have. I ordered a size up because I'm busty, but it seems like the real difference between sizes is length. I like the oversized effect and the extra length, so I won't bother exchanging it. Resist the urge to order a bigger size unless you plan to wear this over a heavy winter coat.

This rain poncho is wonderful. Thick enough to look good, but small enough to stuff in a backpack. I wanted rainwear that would cover a camera hanging around my neck and allow me to get the camera out easily. The zipper front works great. The hood would be better with a way to tighten it, but otherwise it is perfectly. I have the red, and people compliment me often. A couple of people have borrowed it and asked where they could get one. Really happy with it.

Originally purchased in the Medium size due to other reviews. Returned for the Large. It was too tight in the shoulders for me. I normally wear extra large...but the Large was perfect. The sleeves and cuffs will fit easily fit over a jacket....and it will pack down to practically nothing!!! The zipper works like a charm. The Blue is beautiful, not flashy. The material is soft but you can tell it's water resistant. Over all I am very excited and love the cape.

The rain poncho arrived in a plastic envelope and was, of course, wrinkled. I tossed it into the dryer, set it on low, timed it for 20 minutes, then hung it on a hanger. The wrinkles fell out. I am petite in stature (5"1") and the sleeves came down to mid hand, which is fine. The poncho is made of a rip-stop type of material and draped fashionably on me. Very lightweight. Good buy.

I am in a wheelchair and it covers my knees to keep my legs dry. Works wonderful for me and my needs. I really don’t know where the length falls on me standing. It is not bulky and does not interfere with the wheelchair wheels. Sleeves are long enough that I am not soaked It also does not have that breathtaking pvc odor

I was worried when I ordered this because the setup has a glitch where I ordered the red color but the order still showed as "pink raincoat" and I wasn't sure if I'd have to end up sending it back to try and get the right color.Thankfully, the right color arrived despite the order description and the shade of red looks like the picture. I am 5' and around average weight and the small is pretty big on me. If I had a choice, I'd probably go down 2 sizes to get a closer and shorter fit. That said, I suppose it will provide more rain coverage due to the larger size and the sleeves are manageable and not past my knees as I feared.The sewing quality is very nice. Material is comparable to the weight used for umbrellas so sturdier than the plastic bag disposable rain ponchos but way lighter than the average anorak. Good or bad depending how hot or windy it is, I suppose. I love the overall style. The sleeves are tacked together to keep it on and prevent it flying off if windy. The zipper front makes it easier to get on/off than always squeezing it over your head depending on sizing and allows partial coverage for light rain rather than looking like you are always heading into a full sea storm. Also the front pockets are awesome, I don't buy jackets without em. I wish the hood had a drawstring in case it does get windy but at least it is a large hood to provide coverage rather than barely fitting on my head as some ponchos do.

This ponch did it’s job! I purchased this product because of the color. I was preparing to go on strike the following week and needed something Red for Ed. I knew we would be out in the cold with heavy rain as it was forecasted to pour for four days straight. Not only did this poncho keep me dry, it allowed me to wear several layers underneath to keep me warm. I even wore a coat and felt super comfortable and was able to move around with ease.I bought a size smaller and felt It was perfect, but I’m thinking I could have even gone two sizes smaller.
