An interesting retelling of the classic fairy tale, with a sexy twist.
She knows them as the Huntsmen. They know her as Snow. They have been sworn to take her.And kill her.She has waited for rescue. But not in this way. With these men.And this is not the fairy tale you think you know.Snow and the Seven Huntsmen: A Dark Reverse Harem Romance by Zoe Blake and Alta Hensley is a re-imaging of the classic Snow White story, except here there are definitely no dwarves amongst these huntsmen, and Snow is not waiting for a fairy-tale Prince to come rescue her.The building blocks of this story involve individual, almost standalone chapters in which each huntsman takes Snow aside for individual treatment (or, as in one case, with two at the same time) in making her understand her new life situation, and that which is expected of her. In doing so, though she balks at first and swears she will not be able to survive their ‘training’, in the end she does discover not only that she can survive, but that she also enjoys the differing kinds of attention that each huntsman pays to her. She comes into her own understanding that submission does not ONLY equal giving up control, but also gaining it, as pleasure does not only mean an absence of pain. The scenes of these training sessions are very good, and help to build up the growing sense of bonding which ultimately takes place between Snow and her captors. The scenes definitely trend towards the spanking / D/s spectrum, and if these are triggers (in a good way) for you, you are going to love this book. The scenes are hot, well written, and Snow is an absolutely delightful heroine who doesn’t just clutch at her chest and faint, but stands her ground at times, while accepting the growing knowledge that what is happening to her may come from circumstances far different than she’d ever expected, but with end results that are far more than she could have hoped for. There are two issues that I personally had with the book. One, there is so little build-up and background in the story to the indicate what is truly behind the main villain of the story, and why that person is doing what they are doing, that a few late scenes in the book just seem flat, because the tension has all been focused on Snow and her relationships with the huntsman, so when the true villain reappears it just comes out of nowhere, with nothing compelling driving it forward. I just had so little to go off of what was the motivation and essence of the antagonist that I wasn’t really drawn into what was happening when they reappeared, and they honestly didn’t seem threatening at all. Which in part was only exacerbated by issue number two, which is that at the critical moment of the conflict between Snow and the antagonist, Snow just basically drops out, and when we next return everything is over! I did find that very frustrating. While perhaps the scene didn’t need to go into a long, detailed sequence, the abrupt ‘fade-to-black‘ and then eyes opening a day later way in which it was handled was off-putting to me. Now, this should not be taken as a reason not to read Snow—far from it! This novel has so much more going for it to let these two issues stop readers from enjoying the book.Snow and the Seven Huntsmen is at its best when Snow is learning that sometimes the path to finding out who you truly are can come in ways that are far different than your preconceived expectations. The scenes which build up on that are the ones which should draw readers to this story. And for that alone it is worth the price of admission.

ANGER—FEAR—PAIN—PASSION—I’D CONSUMED IT ALL LIKE A WOMAN STARVED
This is one of these stories that you don’t know whether to be shocked or impressed by the depravity of the entire storyline. This is what you get when you get two talented authors, Alta Hensley and Zoe Blake that both can write dark erotic horror fantasy, and together their creative minds devise a demented dark, edgy spin on the tale of Snow White. Forget any dwarves, because no, instead, it is seven large, muscular, huntsmen instead.“Once upon a time, I was a princess named Snow White—now, I am the captive prize of seven huntsmen.”The Huntsman has been hired by the evil queen to kidnap and murder Snow, bringing her heart back to the queen. They will deliver the heart of a boar and take Snow to their cabin deep in the forest. While Snow may be alive, she will find herself in a new prison, because the beast has taken her to their lair. Each of the seven huntsmen will have their own time with Snow, and she will be at their mercy and proclivities. While certain ones have claimed a particular virginity, her time with each man will not be an easy experience. In order of claiming, Tore, Magni, twins, Feyer and Steen, Dagr, Jerrick, and Odin.“Listen to me well, broken bird. Never disobey any of the huntsmen, or you will get far worse than what I am doing here. You are to be submissive, obedient, and compliant in all the ways we ask. Some of my fellow huntsmen are not forgiving or tolerant men.” --Tore“The reality was, I had been taken from one prison to another. I should have never for one second forgotten that the huntsmen are my captors and my life was fully in their hands. I was a prisoner, not a guest. I was here by force, not by choice. If I kept my eyes closed, it would make this all seem like a dream rather than reality. Reality made it all the more dirty and wrong, but a dream was safe.” --Snow“No is not an option.” --Magni“Never question. Never disobey. Never for one second act out like you did before.” –Feyer“The devil had truly possessed my body, but no holy water would be able to purge me clean.” --SnowWord has it that the queen knows Snow isn’t dead and she is coming for her, and the huntsmen too. She may have locked up Snow in the castle and convinced everyone that she had gone mad after the death of her father, but the huntsmen know the truth. How far will they go to protect the women who can tame their savage beast? Don’t come between the huntsmen and their captive prey. The story is one of the reverse harem books that includes kidnap and capture, dubious consent, forced submission, exhibition, humiliation, sadomasochism, dark fantasy, that is raw and edgy. What this isn’t, is a sweet romance; it is filthy dominance, control, and powerful. In April, comes Red and the Wolves.

Dark and Different Retelling of a Classic!
A new type of story from 2 fabulous authors. I loved this dark retelling of a classic fairytale. Snow White with a saucy and darkly seductive twist.Snow White, trapped in her stepmothers castle, standard. Snow White being hunted by the huntsman, standard. Snow White in a cabin in the woods, standard. But what is a girl to do when instead of seven dwarves, there are seven hungry huntsmen determined to eat little Snow right up, and claim and mark that creamy skin as theirs. Holy hell. These huntsman had deviously dark desires that had little Snow squirming, and me too!It was a fast paced and engaging read, a totally original new take on this famous story. I enjoyed it thoroughly, and I eagerly anticipate what these 2 authors will cook up next.

"Once upon a time, I was a princess named Snow White…now, I am the captive prize of seven huntsmen."In this adult retelling of Snow White there are no dwarfs to be seen, just seven horny huntsman to hold the princess captive for her own protection.....Having lived in isolation since her father’s death, her stepmother has finally commanded her death. But instead of death she would be granted "Humiliation, pain, fear."Snow and The Seven Huntsmen would not be suitable for all readers. I imagine many people would be a little uncomfortable with all the wanton sex which is not all consensual. If you like your romances on a darker, filthier scale with multiple partners, then certainly give it a go.“Please, it hurts.”“This is a punishment. It’s supposed to hurt. I want it to hurt. I want you to feel every painful inch as I remind you who is in charge of you and your body.”

Toes the line
When I read the blurb for Snow and the Seven Huntsmen I was excited to read this dark reverse harem. However, after reading it, I am a bit disappointed.Don’t get me wrong, it is well written. Just very low on plot and romance. Now, I’m not always into the romance side of novels, can become a bit wishy washy, but I really do believe that Snow and the Seven Huntsmen could of done with a bit more romance (and definitely more plot) to soften out all the rapey scenes, which make up 99% of the book.Blake and Hensley were too good at showing the fear (and pain) that Snow feels during nearly the ENTIRE novel. I know this is a dark romance reverse harem, and I expected some boundary pushing. But, I think Blake and Hensley might be toeing the line a bit too much for my liking. In all honesty, I think the next novel I read is going to need to be sex free.I do like how Blake and Hensley portray Snow. For even though she has been alone and imprisoned for so long, in many ways she is still the pampered princess who cannot cook and thinks scrubbing floors is beneath her. I mean, who was Disney kidding, why would a princess who has servants even know how to cook let alone be happy cleaning up after seven dwarfs. This is a short, quick read, and definitely worth a go. For you never know, you might love it. Even though I found it to be a bit too dark, I’m still going to give the next book in the series a go.

Could it be more juvenile?
Without a doubt the most childishly written rubbish I have ever begun reading.I would have believed it was written by a nine year old except for the sex scenes which whilst being very adult were as about erotic as a lukewarm foot bath.
