I'm not an upholsterer, so I don't have experience with these. But, I needed them for this project, and I thought these felt pretty high quality, and they looked nice. The finish was smooth and clean. They felt sturdy, and while I bent my fair share of them, I'm sure that was my error, and not because of faulty tacks.

Once installed, these are marvelous. Definitely use needle nose pliers to hold them straight, or you will end up with a lot of bent tacks. Even with pliers, prepare to lose some if you are putting them into anything hard. I needed them for birch plywood, which is quite hard. They are probably much easier to install on upholstery.

I tacked around the front edge of a pair of shoes with these on some poorly-made shoes that would not stay glued to their soles. When I took the shoes to a repair shop, they said it wouldn't be worth it to have them stitched. These tacks did the job and kinda matched the metal stud design on the top of the shoe.

Bought these for a furniture project. Havent used them yet. They are as pictured.

These look good 90% of the time. They are easy to apply. They don’t good 10% of the time they are stuck in the bottom of your foot. Wish they had some ridges to keep them secured and bite into the furniture so guests your dog sitter doesn’t impale themselves on them. Would suggest using a bit of glue to ensure they don’t come out.
