Don't Hesitate To Buy This!
My mother's bathroom no longer has a lingering smell of urine. I have been taking care of my mother who has dementia for a little over a year now, full time. Soon after I moved in with her I installed a toilet seat riser with arms to help her sit and get up easier. Soon after, she required adult diapers, but she is still able to go to the bathroom by herself. Now, often I smell urine every morning I go into her room. I discovered her diaper was not great at holding in the urine that happened at night. Every day I was a blood hound trying to find the smell of urine. 1. Possibly the bed. 2. She left her dirty diaper in the trash. 3. Trash can has a lingering smell after throwing away the the trash bag and diaper. 4. Urine on the floor by the toilet. 5. She was throwing her used toilet paper into the trash. After taking care of all that I noticed under the toilet seat riser it had urine. I couldn't figure out how it got there. I cleaned that up. I have back problems and removing the seat every day was not an option for me, but I did remove and clean it very well at least once a week and tried to get under as much as I could every day without removing it completely. Still a lingering smell of urine when I stepped in her room. I am not sure how I discovered the toilet elevator, but from reading the reviews someone mentioned that the seat risers installed on top of the toilet had an issue with urine getting under the seat. WHAT??Well, that was it for me. I didn't care how much it cost, I ordered it immediately and scheduled my handyman to install it as soon as it arrived. When he took the seat riser off the toilet, I wanted to throw it out the window, but I doubled bagged it and immediately threw it in the trash bin in her condo. I walked back into my mother's room and the urine smell was gone. Gone!! I could not believe it. Gone!!! I got a separate armrest that stays on the floor to help her get up. Now, once I clean up everything in the morning her bedroom and bathroom smells clean. This is the best invention. I am tall so I plan on getting one in the guest bathroom as well even though the toilet is on the taller side. Oh, it looks nice also.

Works great.
Raised my toilet 3 1/2" makes it much easier to get up and down. I would pay to get the porcelain next time. I really like it, just think the porcelain one would be better.

Is everything the seller described.
Easy install even for an old man. Much nicer than the elevated seat that cracked and creaked, and looks much better. Instructions are detailed and easy to follow.

Toilet Riser
This riser works great! It was easy for our plumber to install. It looks nice and looks like it will last a long time.

It is precisely what is advertised!
I build or install these things myself - from Ikea kits to building my own sunroom. This was advertised as a complete kit, 4" riser for my toilet with "universal fit". I have nothing to add! Anyone who's replaced a toilet has the skills to do this in a half-hour, 10 minutes if you're experienced. The riser sat on my floor exactly as I would hope. The included closet-flange extension piece attached with the kit hardware, the included wax rings (both!) were perfect, the ONLY thing I had to work on was positioning of my particular toilet to the ample mounting locations along the adapter's inside slots. First try, it was done. Since I now have two wax rings instead of one, I felt compelled to doublecheck the mounting hardware and make certain it remained tight after a couple of days. The included water supply line may or not be needed for your installation, but if you're not certain of the age of yours, REPLACE IT with the new one anyways. My home was damaged by a supply line that let loose upstairs due to age.I like the riser - it's easier for my almost-60-year-old body to get on and off the pot, instead of having to sit so low to the ground.

Very Nice....But read the comment to make install easier!!
Before you start the installation go to the hardware store and purchase:1. New flange and screws2. THICK bees wax ring.My flange was cracked so I had to go get a new one.Got everything mounted and setting the toilet on top of theriser found that the furnished bees wax did not seal to my toilet.Went and purchased a THICK bees wax and completed the installation. So, go to the local hardware and purchase those two components. If you don't need them you can always return them. However, if you do need them, you'll be able to complete the installationin a minimal amount of toilet down time for the family!!You'll be a HERO!!
