Didn't last
The Google one failed after 6 months of constant use so I thought I'd get a different one and see if it would do any better. It didn't fit overly snug in in the phone (Google pixel 2) although while it worked it had good sound quality and worked but after a month of not overly heavy use it stopped working within a few days from when it first became temperamental.I would like a refund as it wasn't fit for use in my opinion, only lasting a month for over £10 however there was no option to contact the seller on Amazon. I will be going back to the Google converter as it lasted much longer, with more use and I think looks nicer.

Usb works. Audio doesn't.
Right angled USB C pass-through allows me to charge my Samsung s9+ while mounted in my Zhiyun Smooth 4 gimbal, however the audio socket does not appear to work with headphones or external microphones. This may be a quirk of my particular model of phone but still quite disappointing as it would have been a perfect solution if both features worked.

Quirkcy headphone adaptor that stopped working
The one thing that really annoys me about usb-c phones is if they don't have a standard phono jack (and I'll never buy another again that doesn't). So, got this to try and sort that problem out. Worked great for about a month, then stopped working. If i fiddled with it, and held it up to the moon just right, then blew on it warmly, then kissed it lightly, it MIGHT work once in a while. Pffft. Lame.

Works for Pixel 2 XL
Nice little gadget to get you over the fact your device doesn't have a headphone jack and cannot charge and listen to audio at the same time (unless you bluetooth the audio) I've found it a godsend at my desk to be able to do both and thoroughly recommend this adapter, the sound is fine. Only grip i have is that once charged and you maybe pull the power cable out, if your listening to audio this does switch off and you need to restart your audio again, small issue mind.

Some white noise and loose USB socket
It does the job. However there's a noticeable white noise level when it's quiet, although not bad enough to be really distracting. Also the USB C socket (i.e. the one next to the 3.5mm audio socket) is a bit loose so the charging cable tends to fall out if it takes a bit of weight and is wriggled around for a while. It lacks the final snap that the phone socket has. (And no, it's not the usual lint-in-the-socket problem.)

Worked fine for a month.
Worked fine with my Pixel 2 for a month and then started making a clicking sound when plugged in but not playing music. Now it cuts out or distorts the audio if not held at a very specific angle. For the amount that you're asking for this component users have a right to expect a more robust product.

Microphone doesn't work
I have a Pixel 2. This allows you to play music into headphones and charge at the same time. I use it in my car, and I wanted to be able to play music through the Aux input and use the microphone to talk to the Google assistant, but it turns off the phone microphone. The original Google dongle without the extra USB C port doesn't affect the microphone. However their customer service is brilliant, and they have responded to this review.
