Avon Skin-So-Soft Bug Guard Plus IR3535 SPF 30 Lotions, 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 3)

I brought this with us when traveling in China this summer. Mosquitos are usually really bad in Shanghai, and the IR3535 formula has been working really well (and safer too)! We were once surrounded by tons of mosquitos and no bites at all. There was once I forgot to apply and I was almost eaten alive...lolI highly recommend this product as it also serves as sunblock. My son was never burnt. So I guess it worked. But I don't recommend applying too often, as you are not supposed to apply bug repellent too often. So I used it mostly as bug repellent. Get another sunblock to apply on every two hours, if you are at the beach or something.

Where we are located in Florida, we have issues with biting flies, biting no see-um’s and well, just getting bit by all types of insects. A friend recommended this product as it doesn’t have a strong smell like most in sect repellents. The first day I used it, I had no fly’s landing on me or biting me! I put it on certain spots and the spots that I didn’t apply (on top of my feet) they were biting! The only thing I would say is to be on the lookout for the package size. I felt like the bottles were kinda small for the amount that was charged for them. But I bought it because, let’s face it, I needed something that works! It’s also Avon and can be used on children so it’s still worth purchasing. Just don’t expect a huge bottle!

My co-worker recommended this me as I am allergic to mosquitoes as well as my daughter. I do not like the way other repellents feel or smell so I never use other options but this one smells good and isn't oily like the other ones! I also like the fact that this has SPF. You also want to make sure you do shake this before applying because if you do not, it is a little watery but when you shake the bottle first, the consistency comes out perfect. Will keep purchasing to keep on hand at all times!

I have used AVON Skin-So-Soft Bug Guard Plus for several years and I am totally satisfied with it. I am sensitive to the sun so I put it on my face and neck in the morning and I'm outside most of the day. I also wear a broad brim hat but it alone does not protect my face and neck. This one application works all day. It also totally fends off mosquitoes all day. They do not land on me and I have never gotten a bite where it has been applied. Mosquitoes fly around my head a bit but then fly off.One caution: I have noticed that the product attracts honey bees. And they follow me. But I have not been stung. So if you are allergic to bee stings be aware. I have not noticed any such behavior with hornets nor yellow jackets. Finally, the product also does keep my skin smooth and soft.Hint on use: I find the application is most even and product is conserved if I moisten (not dripping wet) my hands and then put the product (sparingly) in one palm. I then rub my hands together and then with both hands apply it to my face, ears, and neck being careful to not get it in my eyes. Applying excessive amounts of the product does not do any better. I spread the residual that is on my hands and fingers over the backs of my hands and my wrists.At least for me, it does all that it is advertised to do.

I rode round up many years ago in Arizona and the bugs were horrible, Avon was the best of hope. Even my horse liked it as I swabbed around his eyes. Now in Hawaii when you need Sun Screen, Avon has a great one. Nothing else does all three as well.

No need to add sunscreen and then bug spray in the summer. This is my go too. It smells great too and goes on easily. Never an issue with it and reduces the number of times I need to spray my kid down with something
