FolkArtK660 Metallic Acrylic Paint in Assorted Colors (2 oz), 6102, 2 Ounce Gold (Pure Gold)

I needed some metallic gold paint for my crafting. It needed to be acrylic so I could adjust the thickness with water and it needed to be nice and shiny. I came across this and it’s really good paint. It’s not too thick and it’s not globby like some craft paints are. You do get a nice shiny finish so perfect for dot painting. I also used it on Xmas decorations and I’ve used it to paint lettering. It flows superbly and holds to the brush really well. With it being water based you just wash your brushes in soapy water. Metallic paints take a little longer to dry and this is no exception. You could second coat it within half an hour but if you are dot painting I’d leave it overnight before rubbing out your chalk stencil marks. I would always put two coats on for metallic paint unless it was very small areas in which case you only need one. This was good value for money and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again. I’ve tried a few gold acrylic paints and this is the best one so far.

I had a repair to do which required touches of gold. I ordered after 11pm and it had arrived by about 13.40pm the following today - brilliant!The paint itself was perfect for the job. It has a lovely sheen, is a soft mid gold and covered beautifully.When ordering I did pause due to the minimum quantity required which is 2 so that made it less competitive since I only wanted a small quantity. Next day delivery swung my decision and I am glad it did because it truly is fantastic gold paint.

The small bottle was more than enough to paint the metal parts of my steamer trunk with several coats with some left over. The paint dried very quickly and went on evenly. Several coats were required to get the finish I wanted.

This paint does what it says on the bottle. Covers well, is not a cheap runny paint. Easy to use and value for the money.

The paint came in quickly and has a true metalic gold shine. It worked well for my project and made my crown plaque pop! It will look so beautiful in my baby girls nursery! And you can't beat the price!

Luckily I chose a color that'd I like but didn't help that there's no color swatches to really see the color. I also chose glam gold by Folk Art & looked on Google for color swatches & I thought it'd be more opaque but it more yellowy clear with glitter. In the ads put a example of the paint color!

I was looking for some gold paint to achieve a 'kintsugi' type of look to something I had glued back together. This paint fit the bill perfectly for my needs. It went on thick and dried fast. Don't know what I'll use the other 97% of the bottle for, but it is a great shiny gold color, so I'll have to keep an eye out for things that need to be turned gold.

Used this in my painting and I love the color but as in all these paints, as soon as they become popular they become overpriced.

The paint looks amazing on any canvas plus it dries really well
