Pen works great, as on both outside and inside covers, unlike the standard tipped s-pen that only works on the inside cover. It is the new slim size that fits into the built-in holder on the back of my case.I wish Samsung would put in a slot like the do on the S-models, that would be so much better. But for now, this works great! I recommend this s-pen
