ABUS70/45 All Weather Solid Brass Weatherproof Padlock Blue Keyed Alike - Stainless Steel Shackle

I use this on an inflatable boat in salt water to secure a gas tank and battery. No water leakage into lock mechanism - no rust. It has a secure flap that covers the key area. Mechanism holds up well to boating conditions without freezing up. I’ve bought more of these locks for use on a larger boat as well.

I was turned onto ABUS from watching the Lock Picking Lawyer on Youtube. He gave them praise for their quality and their resistance to lock picking. I purchased this lock to put on my shed. Wow this lock exudes quality just by holding it and operating it. Seems silly but I am impressed with how it latches and unlatches so smoothly. I have a few of the more popular, inexpensive, brand and this outperforms right out of the box. I would have liked to see a better key as this seems kiddie like when compared to the lock. I almost feel like I would break the key or it would be used for a file cabinet but the lock is top notch.

Wish it had come in black--the blue is a bit too bright. Seems to be a good lock for a gate, definitely waterproof.

I found it very difficult and expensive to get duplicate keys for these locks. You cannot got to your local hardware store to have a key cut. The blanks are found at very very few locations

Purchased these because they were supposed to be weatherproof. I purchased two of these to lock my kayaks up which are stored outside. Both are now almost impossible to get key in and out of lock or to lock. They are useless now.

I like this lock. There is a rubberized coating on it with a flap to keep out most moisture. The only downside is the simple keyway. This is a US standard style keyway, not the advanced Euro style. I use it on exterior gates to tell people, please don't come in. Not high security.

Disliked that I could not get anyone to make copies of the keys. Went to 4 different hardware stores that make keys and one locksmith...zero results so returned the lock

Trailer got broken into last night... but not because of the lock. Thieves took some tries at the lock but it only scuffed a little. In the end they broke the trailer latch. Will replace the latch and put the same lock back on!

Awesome product. Sturdy. First time I've had a lock that has a cover that protects where the key is inserted. Love this lock. I bought it for my storage unit, which is outside in my backyard. I would definitely purchase again.

Originally went with a combo lock, which was stuck shut on arrival.We live in North Vancouver (often quite damp), and despite the lock being a touch smaller and thinner that I imagined, we're very happy with this so far. It's a quality item that does what it says...
