HAVN COOKED! – Perfect Case for My First Build!
I recently completed my first PC build, and the HAVN HS420 case made the process so much easier than I expected. The spacious interior provided plenty of room to work with, and the cable management features were a game changer, keeping everything neat and organised. The aesthetics are exactly what I was looking for – sleek, modern, and stunning. The tempered glass panels elevate the look, giving it that ultimate “fish tank” style, which is exactly what I had envisioned. It’s certainly a showpiece for any setup. The case arrived perfectly packaged and in pristine condition. It’s a bit heavier than I anticipated, but this only highlights its premium quality. I opted for the horizontal mount version for better airflow, and it’s been performing brilliantly. The only minor challenge I faced was with some of the screws. They are incredibly small and tend to fall into tiny grooves if you’re not careful. Thankfully, a magnetic screwdriver saved the day, and I was able to retrieve every one of them. Just a heads-up to others – take your time with this part!Overall, I’m thrilled with this case. It’s functional, stylish, and built to last. Highly recommended!

Very well designed case
Firstly, the instructions is one of the best I’ve read. It covers everything and does it well. Really made building so much easier. The case looks stunning. The curved glass panel is lovely and I realised later that all external screws are hidden. Very nice touch. The curved tamper glass removes the need to have a corner support bar, this means you can see in internals better. To open the case, the access is via the top. You have a nice fabric handle which you simply pull and it opens. The top is held by magnet. The top also is a vent. So, it will gather a lot of dust over time. It’s great that it pops out easy. It makes cleaning easier and quicker, doesn’t feel like a chore! With the cover off, it exposes the screws for the side, front and back panels. Removing and inserting these panels is a little tricky. The side panels lifts and slides back or forward (depending which side your standing).Very spacious inside but depending on what parts you buy, they may not all fit. The case measures at 547mm high, 260mm wide and 541mm deep. It is very heavy. Weighs around 18kg. With all the components inside, this will be very heavy. For me, not a major issue as it sits on the desk don’t intend to move it. The build quality is fantastic. It feels very premium. The whole build feels sturdy and strong. The rear fans sit inside the chassis, giving it a very neat design. The bottom fan has a mesh filter, this fan drags air into the chassis. The top fan doesn’t have one. This fan blows air out. Very good design to keep the chassis well ventilated. It has a built in cases for hard drive. There are four cases in total. Each case holds either 2x 2.5” or 1x 3.5” hard drive. These cases can be removed to install a cooling radiator or fans. This option would limit the number of cases you can use, it will allow for one case, which gets inside behind the motherboard. There are other locations you can install the cooling radiator, such as the top and bottom of the chassis. The thickness of the radiators can interfere with other components.Cable management is also very interesting and great. Not sure if this is a new design. But it works well. They are fed through flexible grills, then wedged neatly with plastic guides. The gpu sits vertically over three large fans with a glass directing airflow more efficiently. This really helps keep the internal temperature cool. There’s a filter below that. But tricky to pull out. I struggle every time. The noise dampening screws seem to do its job. No rattling or vibration.

Fantastic full size PC case for the best air flow
The media could not be loaded. I enjoy building this PC so much that I never thought there will be a PC case which is so detailed in design for people who love building high end PC. The amount of openings to maximize air flow is insane, every panel except the 90 degree bend glass is opened for air flow. All the metal work is finished to perfection and every seam match and slot in 100% accurately. All the panels have magnets to click into place and the heavy glass panel have roller to guide in and out when needed to remove.Cable management is so easy with this case, it even have different colour labels to guide you during your built, for openings between the motherboard tray and the rear there are rubber grills for cable to fit through and it cleverly cover up most of the openings so you cannot see through. Rubber clips included to hold the cable in place once guided through etc.It has a built in height support arm for long and heavy GPUs, my GTX 3090 looks so small inside this case and the support works perfect. All my storage drives are installed inside the towel of metal pockets, by design all the cable runs neatly at the back of the case to the PSU.There are 2 fan hub on the back of the case which makes it easy to connect up all the fans at different location instead of fighting for cable length to reach the motherboard headers. So much to review but yet so hard to put in to words how good this case design is, my Ryzen, GTX 3090 runs super cool with this case and I love my time building it.My only negative for the case is that it over engineered a lot of the components which may need access in the future, all the panels are fixed with screws and each time you want to open the case you will need your screwdriver and take off lots of screws, same for the storage drive bays which you cannot replace with thumb screws as the cover will not fit on.Also the case weight a lot, I have to built it on the floor as I worry it will sag my work table by the sheer weight.
