Hunting Lions (not for sport) saving lives in India
Wonderful true tales of lion hunting (not for sport) by one of the foremost experts in the field. Truly captures the history of India and exotic places as he recalls each predator that he had to go after to save local populace, Glad I came across this book, one of two he wrote.

Jim Corbett books are great reading. He tells about life in India 100 years ago and on his life in India and some of his hunting exploits.

Great Book
This is a great look into Jim's life when he wasn't hunting tigers and provides a good back story about his experiences growing up.

It is a very good book. I like it very much. The writer has collected some good stories. A very good book, I loved it.
I liked the work. Since I lived in that part of India at one time, I could relate with the work.

Magnificent
A treasured book from my childhood that I bought in turn for my son. Wonderfully written stories from a different time, yet Corbett puts you in the moment like few other authors. The stories of hunting man eaters or daily life in rural India in the early twentieth century are equally captivating.

Fantastic book full of engrossing tales of life in rural ...
Fantastic book full of engrossing tales of life in rural India while the sense of utter fear and respect for the big cats is examined and as usual from Jim Corbett, he tells a really personal story that keeps the reader fascinated to the last word. Thoroughly enjoyable book and highly recommended to anyone with an interest in real life in India, far removed from the gin parties and sweaty offices of the cities...

For Jim Corbett fans
"Carpet Sahib" is one of my heroes since I read him first time, 28 years ago.So anything related to him in print, hard or soft, will be much appreciated, that too from his publisher/editor friend.
