Yes, I have a skirt in my wardrobe. And I don't look half bad in it.Call it a wrap, a kilt, but we all know, it's a damn skirt.And it's a hell of a skirt!Why a rain skirt instead of rain pants?Oh hmm jeez, let me think...1. Be a man! Prove just how secure you are with your masculinity (or male femininity?)2. V-E-N-T-I-L-A-T-I-O-N boys, ventilation. I'm not talking to you, but your boys. You guys hearing me down there? Gah the drippage, nobody likes to be dripping down there.3. Mobility. Rain pants just feel crappy. No surprise moving around with pants on top of pants is a little cumbersome.4. Save weight and space. This thing is ultra light and packs way down.5. So damn easy. Keep it stashed in an outer pack pocket. Pull it out of it's pouch, give it a quick shake to unfold, whip it on! Boom, what was that, 10 seconds? 20-30 seconds if you're not practiced. Rain pants take a few minutes at least! Longer if you gotta find a dry place to sit and take off your muddy boots. What a friggin hassle man.6. Multi-use. My friends tent rainfly had a leak so I let him borrow this to put in between the fly and tent body overnight. no more drips. Other uses? Once the rain stops, lay it out on the wet ground for you and a friend to sit on. Hold it over your head like a waterproof shawl. Heck, use it to collect rain water in a pinch! Or wrap up sensitive electronics in your backpack if you have nothing else.7. Get it dirty, who cares! Rain pants you might hesitate before sitting on the wet, muddy ground. With this? Nope! Because once you take it off, it's so easy to either fold up on itself so you don't get everything else dirty, or to clean it off.8. Really waterproof. The material is great, totally waterproof, and I like the sorta translucent white. It get's dirty, but it's cool lookin!Cons:1. Lack of protection in really windy, extreme weather. If the wind is really whipping and it's raining sideways, these may not be great. Unless you rig a way for the bottom part to be closed, you'll probably have a Marilyn Monroe moment and get soaked. I have seen other model rain "kilts" that have a snap for this reason, however those are less universal, more size specific.2. The velcro. For ease of use it's great. However, sometimes the skirt rides up and rubs/scratches my skin above my pants. So I'd need to either adjust the velcro or just pull it back down over the waist band of my pants. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning.Overall I highly recommend this especially for campers and hikers. It'll keep your bottom half dry, it'll give your friends a laugh, and it'll potentially save the day.

Comes with a stuff sack with drawstring made from same material as kilt. Packs tiny and very lightweight!It is slightly see through, so if on a thruhike you will need something else to wear on laundry day.Easy to put on as it wraps around the waist and Velcro’s in place. I wear an XL (38) waist and it just fits me.(any bigger and it will not work!). I do not have much overlap, so I have to put the overlap facing to the back, but my backpack covers well enough to keep water from getting in.Pair with a set of gaiters and this keeps you dry and reduces the claminess that you get from rain pants that are not breathable.Highly recommend to anyone backpacking!

Seems really well made but smaller than the listed size. Returned it.

The length is a little short.

Long wet hike. Guess who stayed the most dry. This guy. Easy to put on without taking your pack off. I paired this with gaiters and a poncho and hiked through a downpour with brush close on both sides. Highly recommend.

The skirt looks well made and all around water seal BUT the length is to small, the one I did get just go from my wait to over my knee leaving the rest unprotected and I am only 5.2
