Great Massager, Worth Every Penny
I bought this massager because I hurt my arm, it is the best. It really works into the muscles for a deep massage. I like that it has a dial so you can have it on high or low, depending on the area that you are massaging. I have recommended this massager to my friends. It is a professional unit and works better than anything else that I have purchased in a store.

Love the PowerFingers, disappointed with the cord
I bought a PowerFingers in July 2015 and I love it. It does an incredible job of loosening things up and works well anywhere there's enough muscle. You have to be cautious in bony areas like the shins, knee caps, wrists and elbows. I wouldn't even try it on my skull. Turning the speed down lets me use it on my neck and over the bonier parts of the shoulders for instance. At full speed it's incredible on my back and especially on my calves and thighs where I have problems with tight muscles and cramps. I've also had their previous model, the Thumper, and I loved it until I got a PowerFingers. After just over a year and a half I started having problems with it cutting out. I figured out that it's because of a problem in the cord. If I bend the cord just right it works, but if I don't hold it correctly it cuts out. The failure point appears to be just at the end of the strain relief where it becomes a standard thickness cord. I can hold the thicker part steady and wiggle/twist the cord just a little at that point and it goes off and on. Having a short like that in a power cord just doesn't seem like a good idea. It's out of warranty but I called about a repair and I'd have to ship it to them, pay about $30 to have it fixed, then pay $20 return shipping. Or they will sell me a new cord for $30 and $20 shipping so I can do it myself although they recommend against that. They will provide instructions. I thought it might just be bad luck but now I see at least 2 more people with the same problem.I'm hesitant to spend $90 (or even 50) to fix something that's already out of warranty and costs less than double that to replace, but I really like the PowerFingers. Enough that I'm seriously considering buying another one, this one sort of cost me less than $10/month. If I do I may get the extended warranty, something I normally won't do. I just looked at it and for about $14 it extends the coverage to 2 years AND pays for shipping both directions. I just called Assurant and their warranty extends but does not replace the manufacturer's warranty. If it breaks in the first year I'd have to pay shipping under the terms of the manufacturer's warranty. If it breaks in the second year Assurant pays shipping both directions. If I had bought that warranty in 2015 I'd be doing great. I saw someone say theirs broke in 6 months, they'd have to pay shipping. If I get a new one I'll open the old one up and see what the cord looks like, they have to be available somewhere at a reasonable price. The massager itself is great, it looks like the cord design has a problem. Maybe I'll just go down to the hardware store and see what I can do. Online a 9 foot power cord is less than $10 and a strain relief cord lock is less than $2 so I could save a lot of money. I'd really like to get this working properly again, it's a great massager.

pretty sweet, it works quickly!
I use this massager on my back, shoulders and legs, and it is really relaxing. It does not take long and you get a feel really relaxed. I like to use it when watching TV, and by the end of an episode I'm ready to lay down! I have a lot of shoulder pain, and this is really good at relieving it, also great on your legs, both calfs and quads. It even feels nice on the bottom of your foot. The 5 settings offer a good variety of intensity, I use on level 5, but my wife likes it on level 3.

It works great and the powerfinger product delivers a deep penetrating massage
It works great and the powerfinger product delivers a deep penetrating massage. It just needs to be improved because the sides of the powerfingers massager pinched my skin and left a small bruise on two occassions. Please have your research and development department address this discomfortable issue.

Good, but less powerful than Brookstone Max 2
I was considering buying another Brookstone Max 2, but decided to try this PowerFingers instead. I haven't seen any reviews comparing them, so I'll try to do that here. They are both percussion massagers in a similar price range and claiming to be professional-grade. Based on recent reviews, the quality of the Brookstone Max 2 (Corded) might not be what it was in the past. We are 5+ years into our second one, after using the first one for over 5 years before it died. But like I said, the recent bad reviews scared me off a little. So I decided to try the Powerfingers. The Max 2 is definitely, unquestionably more powerful in penetrating deeper into muscles than the PowerFingers. It's hard to quantify, but if I had to pick a number, I'd say the Max 2 is about 20% more powerful in penetrating big muscles. However, the PowerFingers is still the second most powerful massager I've ever tried, just not as strong as the Max 2. If you've got a knot deep in a large muscle, the difference is clear. In favor of the PowerFingers: It's action feels a lot smoother - it doesn't bounce nearly as much and stays in contact with the muscle more continuously, so even though it's less powerful, it's more effective for general massage, shallow tissue areas, and near bony spots, just not as good for deep large muscles. Along with that, it doesn't vibrate the hand nearly as much and is generally more ergonomic compared to the Max 2. And it is a lot quieter. Also, personally I prefer the simple rocker on/off switch and 1-5 power dial of the PowerFingers over the unnecessarily complicated electronic buttons of the Max 2 (along with it's "programs" that I never use). The cord on the PowerFingers is LONG - the Max is decent length, too, but doesn't seem to match PowerFingers. The PowerFingers comes with soft, medium, and hard massage heads, but I immediately put the hard ones on and have never had a need to go back. They claim to have 10 speeds, but the dial goes from 1 to 5. I'm nitpicking now, but even if they claim the halfway points, that's only 9 speeds. In fact - just for kicks I just calculated it, and the range 1-5 (endpoints included) doesn't divide evenly into 10 - it's 0.4444444444.... Doesn't affect the product usage, but obviously marketing and engineering didn't really talk about this. But anyway, they say that with the 10 speeds and 3 heads, that's 30 options. Nice for marketing, but I use the hard heads on speed 5 all the time, so that's not really a benefit for me, personally. The PowerFingers comes with a 1 year warranty, but the terms on the warranty card are kinda lame, in my opinion. Here are some important parts:"Limited One Year WarrantyThis Product is fully guaranteed to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase...A service fee for labor will be charged on units received after 90 days from the date of purchase...To obtain service during this warranty period, the product should be... SHIPPED PREPAID & INSURED... along with $32 for return shipping...The warranty is void if our inspection shows... [a long list of things]"That's right folks, you pay to ship it, they charge you labor, and you pay for return shipping, and they have lots of leeway to decide the warranty doesn't apply. I mean, I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt that hopefully they would take care of a customer, and I'm sure it's a tough business, but it's really not a very customer-friendly warranty.I'm on the fence right now whether to keep the PowerFingers or not.

Pretty good massager. Power cord is a weak link.
I've never owned another percussion massager to compare this to but the percussion action is pretty good and it's light enough that it's pretty easy to hit all the spots. That being said, the power cord shorted out where it connects to the handle after 6 months of easy use. It costs $20 for it to get shipped both ways and repaired but if you ask me, this shouldn't happen on a massager that costs 3x the competition and they really shouldn't charge me for the shipping/repair at their products price point when I could buy 3 massagers of another make for the same price.
